- If you like vintage decor with an updated style, then this video is for you. We’ll be transforming 10 thrift store finds using a perfect blend of old and new. We’ll refresh vintage finds with modern elements and infuse newer items with vintage charm. Today’s thrift store finds include hanging copper medallions, a wine rack, a mantel clock, a toothbrush holder, a bread bowl, a brass candle stand (missing its glass globe), a 1970’s wall sconce, a gravy boat, a trunk, and a tin tile wall basket. So, get ready to create classic and contemporary home decor!

They’re all great, but I especially like number 3! I was kind of hoping for a mouse to be peeking through, but the bird is nice too. 😊
Every time you say, “I’m sure by this time, you’ve figured out…” I always think, “Nope, I still have no idea where you’re going with this.” You leave me pleasantly surprised every time!

I love birds, so the lovely gravy boat with the bird and the pansies was my favorite. And pansies remind me of my mother who always had fresh pansies in a ring-shaped bowl on the hutch in the dining room. Thanks for bringing back a special memory. ❤
Love that! I have a similar memory of my grandmother. She loved irises and grew every color in her yard. Every spring when the iris bloom, I am taken back to my childhood watching my grandma work in her garden.
I think you may single-handedly, be keeping Waverley Wax in business!! I love the house-shaped wine rack. I was thinking an antiqued/mercury glass mirror or diy-ed version would make a lovely base to hide the cross-shaped base and give a pretty reflection of the plant. Those William Morris transfers worked great! I could practically smell the musty trunk through the screen! 🤩🤩
Fairy lights inside the wine rack would be neat. ♥

@@CanterburyCottage if u want to learn how to get a genuine chippy finish, throw away the sandpaper and use cracked gesso and antiquing glaze with milk paint!

The wine rack was my favorite but they are all beautiful. The gravy boat is very sweet with the bird and the matching flowers.
I'd have to say it would be tie for my favorite. The gravy boat with the pansies is so sweet, but the wine rack is totally cool. Love the way you used greenery to dress them up.
My favorite makeover is the wine rack! It looks like a little conservatory, and I love how you styled it. The only change I would make is to paint the unpainted wood that you can see on the inside of the base.

Don't worry, the remedy for removing odors is kitty litter.😂. Charcoal works too. I would not use anything else, citrus repels cats😮
How exciting to find matching pansies in your stash that matched the gravy boat! I have so many little items that I refuse to throw out - you give us a reason to be proud of our collections of odds and ends!
You have such remarkable vision! The way you transform everything is genius! Some people just paint something… add a transfer… not you… first take it apart. Hammer, saw pliers., power tools. Recreate… reinvent and voila a masterpiece! Loved the wine rack and all 9 others!!

It’s always hard to pick favorites as there all so creative. You asked about the wine rack n if you should put a bottom on it. I say yes. That way you can change it out with different size of pots. It was my favorite too.

I liked the airiness of the wine rack with the plant in it. If I were putting a host of small pots in it, then a bottom would have been good, I am surprised, though, that there isn't a bird perching on it somewhere! I loved the pansy gravy boat arrangement! What a great update! The William Morris transfer on the trunk was great!

Favorites: 8 (yes, I think the solid base on #8 would be even better. But it's still my favorite, especially with that chunky crock as the planter!) Then #10, It would fit in anywhere! Also love #3 - so creative! Really like how you number them at the end and let us choose our favorites. Fun!
I had a large trunk that I used to make a litter box. I added casters, peel and stick wallpaper on the inside and took an antique frame, installed it on one side for the entrance of the litter box. It’s great. It helps to keep the dust down.

Sherry, leave the X in the wine rack and put a small set of twinkle lights in the bottom. I think that would be glorious. I loved the green clock with the bird, but I would have put a mouse looking through. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

Oh boy - you really hit it out of the park this time, Sherry! 😲🤩 In a nutshell, I love numbers 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10. 😁😘 The wire candlestick topiary, and the cat box trunk were particularly inspired. Imo, putting solid wood on the bottom of the wine rack would've distracted from the overall lattice design. I think, of the last 3, the gravy boat is my fave, followed by the mantle clock and the tin tile wall cubby. If I had a home where I could display these, I would try to buy them all. 😯😂 Thank you so very much for your great continuing work on creating these videos. I'll see you again next week. 😊😘🤗💖👌👍👋

These are the types of videos that I like best. The room makeovers are nice but turning thrift store items into adorable useful pieces that were destined to the landfill is my best. I wish I had just a little of her talent to see what could be. I pick up a piece, look at it...say, what would Sherry do, put it down...😢 don't have the gift! Great job Sherry! I liked them all but the easiest was my favorite, the last one.
