  • In this video I run through my thoughts on the KTM 790 Adventure S (Road variant) for a first ride. This incredibly wet and miserable ride went better than expected!
    Enjoy!

Nice review bud. I test rode the 790 duke and loved it, but I had a bit ache in the wrists so looking at this model. Quick shifter is mint.
Did you change bikes? If not, what are you looking at? Cheers

Yeah its fantastic isn't it! Such a great bike! Although the tiger 900 rally pro is definitely up there too. I havent changed just yet, thinking a toy bike on the way first then will replace the Tracer around the 50k mile mark I think. Cheers!

Hi bro,Any comments on the bike when going high speed ON road about the vibration and long conners because of the 21" rim?

Hi! Vibrations weren't too bad when you were in a high gear.. vibrates quite a lot when accelerating but change up to 6th and it was okay. I didn't notice the 21" wheel, it handled very well and you could throw it into corners easily. I didn't really take it on many long corners though. Hope that helps

Great video Sam, I am actually torn between the 790 S and the tracer 900 GT. Do you have both? which do you prefer more?...I ride a lot of road, but I like to adventure on dirt roads as well

Thank you! I own the 700 tracer but have ridden the 900. The tracer is much more road focused whereas even the 790 S is more tailored to off road, even having the twin engine will be better for off road whereas the tracer 9 has the triple engine. Having said that, there's something about the tracer 900 that just makes it more appealing! My tracer 700 is sort of adapted to off road with the off road tyres, stiffer suspension, bash plate etc but it still lacks the ground clearance and suspension travel. The Tracer will work for dirt roads, but anything more tricky, I'd suggest the 790. Hope that helps!

How was it compared to Tracer 700?
Felt more powerful or more of a premium bike?

Felt like a tracer on steroids... if that makes sense. Still had the grunt and torque of the tracer, but dialed up a bit. The TFT was a nice edition, but to be fair, the switch gear wasn't a huge amount more premium. Hope that helps
