Regarding the shelves with glass - I will be transitioning to them because when I got my quarantine pup last year, she discovered my books and destroyed several of my signed copies. Must protect the babies from the velociraptor I adopted.
Also really nice against dust.

I have one bookshelf with glass doors where I placed all my favorite books aka collections. I agree with all of you. The glass doors are for protection from our velociraptors and dust. But the rest of my books are just in the usual cubbyholes
I like how Daniel is terrified by the Death Stranding reference with the BB (the baby in the jar). It's brilliant.
Also just to properly clear up Daniel's worries, the baby in the game is treated perfectly fine. It's used as an indicator of danger and I won't put any spoilers in but the BB you have does eventually grow to be something both the character and the player get attached to. So dw about it.
That sounds both terrifying and wholesome at the same time
@@evilemuempire9550 eh, kinda is, kinda isn't. It's explained in game that there is a huge problem of exploitation with it, where the parents are treated like shit or killed if they fight back and BB's will often die or get thrown away if they become useless but if you're an actual decent person, being a mailman and having a BB can save your life and its and many other's.
Btw not sure wether you play games or not or if anyone else who has seen this does, but it is an amazingly atmospheric, trippy ass game. It takes a long while to properly get the mystery if the world going but for a game where you play as a mailman, the amount of gun play horrible encounters you'll have with the creatures called BTs.... it's amazing.
For anyone who can actually stomach really long, weird games with great quirky characters, a kinda stupid but cute story as well and what is probably one of both the bleakest and happiest endings ever, play it. Like it was an amazing experience for me and Daniel can stomach the slog in WoT so I imagine he can stomach the game.
I was hoping someone would defend Death Stranding when he saw BB and I'm glad you explained and laid it out man!
Love Death Stranding and I work at Gamestop, so I usually have to defend it from the usual "walking sim" or "delivery boy: the game" jokes, so it's always refreshing seeing another fan!

Oh, you can certainly have orderly bookshelves with demons of chaos around... but there are rules:
For the bottom 2-3 shelves:
1) Demon books only. They'll still get damaged but at least it won't be *your* books.
2) If not enough demon books to fill up all shelves, leave empty (because the demons probably need extra space for when they put the books back improperly anyway) or...
3) Use only books of yours that are too heavy to pick up or books stuffed too tight to pull out easily. This will confuse and frustrate the demons and they will avoid.
4) Use extra space for demon toys. This will distract the demons from any of your books that are *just* within reach.
5) No dust jacketed books. Demons like to tear.
6) No colorful books. It attracts the demon's attention.
Alternatively:
1) Keep bookshelves in a room demons aren't allowed in.
2) Be willing to monitor demons anytime they approach the shelf and be ready to pull them away anytime they get too close.
3) Be aware pulling demons away from bookshelves will result in either 1) a satanic ritual of flailing limbs and ear-splitting noise or 2) a newfound pass-time for the demons which requires you to pull them away at least 100 times in a row before they get bored and find a new game.

12:16 A really cool bookstore near where I live does that. They only sell fantasy and sci-fi (as far as I know). The books are sorted by author last name but K through (I think) P are all tucked away. To find them you have to go to the stairs (there are 2 floors of book chaos in this store) and then to the right where thereâs a doorway (minus the door) where youâll find the books. There are massive piles of books on the floor (all the shelves have been filled). When you go up the stairs, there are book piles on both sides. Upstairs is pretty much the same as downstairs but without the hidden room (thereâs also a balcony that overlooks downstairs). Outside, you will find a giant inflatable dragon that is black, purple, and green. Theyâve put a mask on itâs mouth because COVID as well. Most chaotic store I have ever stepped into but I love it.
Forget starved kittens, that spilled coffee cup is the sadest things I have ever seen.
