I've seen the number issue before. Believe it or not, it's just a misleading font. The 9 and the 4 here look really similar. Find a console on this collection with a 4 in the number of games and the difference in typography will seem obvious. It's weird, I know.

Not a bad collection. I have a retro gaming system and a raspberry pie. I would really like to have a retro gaming system with colecovision, turbo frafx 16, and intellivision added on. And the Dreamcast was a pretty good system. I’d like to see more games on it like Jet Set Radio and other popular titles.
These boxes are usually cheap and work well but they now have stink attached to them since they was exposed to having hidden dormant malware on roughly 80 percent of them
@@jesseobrien5864 Depends. If you have a Smart TV connected to the Internet directly through the TV malware can 100% get out. They just need a C&C and find a vulnerable device that will allow them to connect to your real home devices.....iPhone, Alexa, google home, androids. Then they can try and get access to your Internet history to see where your bank and what are your spending tendencies. Not to mention getting access to your home security system if you have smart security. I'd actually plug the thing into a computer that is a sandbox or offline and then run a scan. Once the scan finished, I'd turn on a logger and see what's happening for the next 24 to 48 hours and see if there are any calls to an outside IP during that time. If nothing comes up and the scan comes through clean. We might be good to go.
Well, according to most of the comments this console bricks after as little as ONE use lol. But you're correct that even if it did work, I'd worry about malware. And, yes, smart tvs nowadays are susceptible to malware

I bought the extra controllers so I could play Mario kart with my family. All of the controllers are very finicky and sometimes not responsive. The game processing seems fine but the controllers stink. Is there any controller upgrade for this system?
I just got mine this morning but am not able to get it to work. It boots up with the logo, but then I get a message top left of the screen that says it can't find the system. Can't use the controllers to do anything. it won't load past the boot screen. Any ideas? I'm trying to find troubleshooting videos but have had no luck, which is starting to worry me.

This one was actually pretty good for those titles but I know what you mean. I do see a lot of that with similar setups. Very hit or miss. Mine just arrived but the box says it is a "Gamebox", not Game Grid2. The device itself says " G11 Pro". Again, not "Game Grid 2". That being said, it seems to function the same as yours.
Can we add missing games if we have the roms? I saw a few comments on Facebook game grid 2 ad posts saying that not all the super Mario games were included for example.
It performs terrible. Just got this thing a few days ago. Most NES/SNES/Genesis games play just fine. Once you get to Playstation and N64, all bets are off. Some N64 games perform well [Star Fox, Blast Corps, Nuclear Strike, etc]. Goldeneye is AWFUL. Unplayable. I got to the 4th or 5th mission and gave up. A) The frame rate literally gets to maybe 2-3 frames a second at many points, it's so glitchy, etc. Controls are also awful. If you're buying this for Goldeneye, do not. Works better for 2D side-scrollers and platformers.

Yeah it's usually because they don't take time to remove them but yeah it also pads the numbers too. When you get roms packs for older collections you often get multiple for some. Sometimes there's different versions of a rom or sometimes there's just multiple so people can see which works for the platform theyre using. Most would remove the extras but often times people selling them don't bother with that as it's extra work.
Is anyone else having trouble with the controller not connecting? My console was working fine yesterday, then my controller stopped working during any game. I even put new batteries in. The menu screen controls still work though. Please help! >_

i could use some advice with how you are using the controller to navigate thru the menu and in and out of games without having to restart the console. any advice?
Hit start and select together twice to exit games and back out to the menu to select another game. Definitely don't want to shut down entirely each time or you run the risk to corrupting the card

There's two game grids out there. To be perfectly honest at this point I have no idea who is who. The product is real but as to who is the real one...I'm not entirely sure.
The problem with this console would be the advertising to me. Im seeing ads for this on Instagram and other places as having 50,000+ games. Even if you include the duplicates you were under 40k. If they give me 30k legit well working games, that would sell me harder than a lie and poor performance on some games.

@@ClaytonHartin they’re different. The getgame doesn’t have Dreamcast for example and in my experience, doesn’t save games. It also says G11 Pro on the actual console box. The official site is a different build and says gamegrid 2 on the console.

N64 emulation is notoriously difficult, and this thing's "everything and the kitchen sink" approach means that basically nothing is going to be tuned correctly, so not much past Genesis will play quite right
Honestly wish the full game list was published somewhere. Would make the decision way easier.
They never do, because the roms are a free bonus. If they sell the roms as advertised its immediately copyright.

These cheap android boxes get too hot and break pretty quick. It's like they are dispoable. You play it for a few hours then it's fried.
