Just some things I that I like to check in addition: While I wait for the efis to load up, I do a quick walkaround and check all the lights are functioning and touch them to make sure they arent loose, i also touch most of the antennae to make sure they are secure, and ensure the flaps came down on both sides. When checking the flaps, it is a good idea to ensure the rotating bolt has full movement and can be flipped from side to side without issue. I also touch every bolt and joint in the flaps and aileron to ensure they are secure. When looking at the left side engine compartment, ensure that the throttle hold open pin is secure and in good shape. I also give the wing a good gentle waggle to ensure continuity of the wing spar, and that there is not skin or rivet damage on the wings.

is there a way to visually check the fuel quantity in a more accurate way using some sort of gauge or dipstick ?
