I watched this on April 15th and I work in trademarks so I was following along nodding and thinking "yeah, this kind of thing happens to small businesses and non-profits that lack resources to invest in the IP side of things... the fees can add up"... until the new name and logo was announced at which point I just cocked an eyebrow at the obviously closer visual similarity to the old Commodore logo, checked the video's date and chuckled. Well played. Nice use of TESS searches to add credibility.

As the joke was going for so long I actually believed it was going to be called Chickenlips, and was thinking of how I can be as polite as possible with a reply. Thank god I didn't have to do that lol.

Yeah, that's when I was out. I didn't realize it was a gag but I did think it was a really BAD idea. I have never heard of the C< logo being referred to as "chicken lips" so that held ZERO nostalgia for me.

Got about halfway through thinking this was serious, due to it not yet being April Fools in my time zone. It's currently still the 31st of March here, and that won't change for about 30 minutes. This technically means I got March 31st fooled, right?
It's 12:36 AM in Wisconsin and this video was uploaded an hour ago so I thought the same thing until I heard the new name and saw the logo.

I'm quite proud that at 4:01, you're using an AltaVista screenshot I made in 1999 and uploaded years later to Wikipedia to illustrate the article; it was later reduced in size there due to copyright concerns, but I think by then was already distributed widely over the web. Strangely enough, the version shown here does most certainly contain the exact *content* of the window from my screenshot (October 23, 1999), but the Netscape menu seemingly has been replaced with one sourced elsewhere (different title bar, buttons in different state).

I liked the new name. From a marketing point of view, you wouldn't forget it. Make a great name for a new Linux distro too. ChickenLips OS. Got a nice ring to it. LOL

The fact that the post date on this one was 31 Mar 2021, and I'm watching it ten days after the fact, put me right off the scent.
