No water based leave ins after the blow out, use grease or a sealing butter. Use a heatless stretching method at night like banding or pinning twists criss crossed. Shower with 2 caps on and remove shower cap AFTER you leave the steamy bathroom.

I wear my hair like this almost exclusively now, but no blowout. I just wait for my hair to be semi dry, then apply my leave in and cream and twist. Takes me 3 hours or so for my whole head since my hair is dense.
