Their relationship is certainly "complicated" since they both deeply care about each other but Goldie doesn't seem ready to determine their relationship while Scrooge can't fully trust her given how many times Goldie has betrayed, antagonized or infuriate him over the years. Even if Goldie was ready to come to terms with her feelings with Scrooge, he may not believe her believing it could be just another con of hers to the duck she cares about.
Honestly, I thought that she deserved a bigger role in the finale, even though they were done with her arc.

can you imagine if Goldie was a little less solidary , keep most of their rivalry, she's able to spend a few weeks at a time with Scrooge at the mansion and maybe slowly able to get attached to Scrooge's family. she can have a separate area to keep the treasures and money/gold that she found by herself/stole from Scrooge and the mansion is a neutral place ⊠i think that could work for a solid romance, maybe even marriage and keep 90 something of their dynamic.
Is that immortality thing why they could stay in ice for 5 years without suffocating or eating?

I did like the dynamic between her and Louie in that one episode.
I have read The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck ( Don Rosa is a god! ) and there were two passages that broke my heart.
The first one, when he left the letter from Goldie unread in the snow, choosing his lonely path over love of his life.
The second one let me cry years later, because I did not realize the whole scene, when I was younger. It was the scene, when he left the castle with his sisters. Don't want to spoil, but just saying my eyes are wet again.

They say it wasn't Disney's fault. Too many people from the crew left for other projects.
I keep thinking the same thing, "why aren't these two officially together" then it hit me their love in a sense is an unattainable treasure, they've known each other for decades and yet they've never grown bored of each other it's what keeps their relationship interesting. In a sense it's they love the thrill of the chase, it's the same as when they're both hunting for riches. And they face the same issue as all couples wonder what happens after they get together... that fear that will they stay with me or will they get bored of me now that we're together. And I think that's the root of Goldie betrayals being scared of settling down and letting yourself be happy and the chance of constantly losing it, that's a real fear. That's why she self-sabotages she hurts him before he can hurt her... and that's actually in line with Scrooges actions when he's hurt as well he pushes others away. That's why the dynamic with Goldie is progressing because he has his family with him, and they want to stay with him, which has been a positive influnce heck it's even had a positive effect on Goldie with her and Louie. So that's why I am hopeful that they may finally be able to be together officially.

I have a theory that Goldie and Scrooge had at least one kid together, but while still an egg, Goldie put them up for adoption and never told Scrooge.

Actually in the comics it is hinted that they have a daughter together but it has never gone beyond that.
@@ramonaharrison7062 Goldie has a granddaughter and it's also explained that she never had another lover except for Scrooge. This implies that Scrooge and Goldie had a son or a daughter.
Given that Goldie managed to make a small connection with Louie, I think it'll give her an extra encouragement to be with Scrooge since (in a strange way) Louie (can) represent the future that they could have together if they put an end to their rivalry.

Goldie may be one of my favorite secondary characters in DuckTales, but the only thing i don't like about her is her shallow/selfish nature because even though she's shown her caring side once or twice, she's always cared more about treasure and herself than anything else sure she showed her caring side a few times but she'd always end up getting away with the loot in the end.
She didn't sneak off with the fountain of the forever glades tho, she chose Scrooge. (She did go back to take it but eh)
"Glitterin" Goldie O'Gild is not only a singer at the local ballroom, but the owner of Blackjack Saloon and one of the most influential residents of Dawson City. Barks' comic story "Back to Klondike" also reveals that after his youth, Goldie sold the saloon and donated all her fortune to the orphans of miners who died in mining accidents. Following Barks, Don Rosa later expanded this saga by revealing more about the relationship between Scrooge and Goldie and increasing her influence in Dawson City. In Rosa's stories, for example, she is the one who managet to get the legendary Sam Steele wanted Scrooge, for kidnapping and forced slavery. It is therefore interesting that the 2017 Ducktales developed and modernized him from an influential songbird to an anti-Scrooge and a thief. Although Goldie was already kind of a thief in the comics, because she drugged the gold miners to cheat them out of their gold which led to Scrooge kidnapping Goldie and forcing him to work in the mine for months, so that she would learn how much efforts and trouble miners go through for their gold.
I recently found out that Gilt is another word for gold, so her name is affectivity Gold O'Gold.
I guess Scroldie is 90-95% canon since they had a long history together and finally had their first kiss, although it's still up in the air on whether they've made an official couple status.
I have a theory that louie is actually the child of scrooge and goldie. Huey is the child of gyro and della. Dewey is launchpad and della child.
I feel like Huey would be more suited to be Fenton's kid in theory

I just want to know how old Scrooge is
He is supposedly born in 1867 and got rich in the 1897 Klondike gold rush. When Carl Barks first invented the character in 1947, this made sense with Scrooge as an 80-year-old in the "present". Since then, his age has been pretty stable, as with most comic-book characters. I believe the latest DuckTales reboot suggested that for a while he was trapped in a time-less "demon dimension" to explain how he can still be alive in the 21st century.
