I was excited to see him potentially getting a podium until he did it to himself, then again, then again, and then again! A lot of times he’s just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but today he can’t blame anyone else. 😢

Indycar doesn't do sector cautions or virtual safety cars like in F1, either full safety cars or nothing at all
and i wouldn't consider any of that nonsense on lap 62 to be worthy of a full course caution, not even the contact. Those incidents were 100% on Grosjean, not Indycar

At that point, throwing a yellow would help Grosjean for his own mistake. He was desperate to get back in so he just full sends it with no regard to the other drivers. He could have just ate the loss, waited, and got back in the fight. Instead, within seconds, his entire race is gone. Unbelievable
@@chandlurr_vr personally I think there should be a yellow flag, at least one before grosjeans car, for safety of all the drivers. stationary objects on the track are dangerous. full course yellow or sc would be strange though

Indycar isn't right, Dixon comes on racing line at low speeds while other cars are coming full speed, then gets called innocent and pietro get a penalty
Exactly, I see that as Dixon’s fault because he was so slow.
Pietro has a decent start finally, and that's the hand he's drawn. very unfortunate, but definitely avoidable. Dixon is too seasoned to merge back into traffic like that.

Nobody blaming Dixon for going off line and running into grass and then swerving into the path of faster cars? If that were Pietro, I believe the announcers would be on Dixon’s side still.
Hinch was on Pietro’s side and Bell was on Dixon’s.
whats to blame Dixon for? He had the racing line first, he was never off it, watch again, he got pushed wide, not off the track the previous corner. There is a distinct difference.
It's racing so the opposite is bound to happen before long and we will get to find out. That one announcer is so unprofessional, he says "I see it this way" and the other announcer provides the counter argument, speaking for some of the fans, like a pro, then the first announcer just repeats himself again just to have the last word. If the pro kept bringing it up they would just go back and forth in a loop until they turned the microphones off.

I wondered why Grojean is so bad in IndyCar after leaving F1. F1 drivers have so many car comforts on their race cars like power steering and I'm willing to bet the more MANUAL STYLE Indycar and the INTENSE competition style of racing compared to the parade style racing of F1, i think current Indycar drivers if crossover to F1 would dominate those guys in F1.
Nah Grosjean was a hazard in F1 too. His most notable moment of his career was crashing into a fireball. What do you expect?
Don't forget the accident at the first turn at Spa where he could have taken Alonso's (?) Head off.

@@RoyalAviator No way, Maldonado was an excellent Formula 1 driver in his best days, even managing to get a win in a dry race not by luck but being the faster driver in a grid with Schumacher, Hamilton, Raikkonen, Alonso, etc
He was a really wreckless driver but a really fast one, Grosjean is just a blind turtle, dude is completely useless and always has been except for his long gone Formula 2 (gp2) years... I mean Grosjean almost killed himself in an horrific crash caused by his own lack of peripheral vision!

Some great young talent ( kirkwood, Armstrong, Lundquist, siegel, vips?, and should i add Verstappen to this list just as a joke .... ) coming into battles and bringing there A game . Unlike some of the older guys in the field atm.

Alex Palou's "massive lead" in the championship has now been trimmed to 54 points! 3 races remain and they are all on ovals. Suddenly Palou looks quite vulnerable to me.
Almost unprecedented to lose that big of a lead in IndyCar. Especially now with Herta falling further back.

@@the-trustees I typically watch F1, the sheer number of drivers in Indy combined with oval tracks makes me disinterested, but Portland seemed a lot more like NASCAR with how terrible the driving is. I thought Zandvoort GP was boring today but it’s much better than this amateur league race. Mistakes and stupid driving all around. Grosjean fits right in.

@pandemonium8365 I was really into F1 just before Verstappen single-handedly made the sport a borefest. He is so amazing that it ruined it for me. Watching broadcasts where 90% of the coverage doesn't include, and often you can't even see, the leader just killed it for me. 😢
