The first 5 times I watched/listened to this song I didn't get it and didn't like it. I realised later this was only because I was expecting Ronald 2.0. When I took it for what it was it grew on me so much! I now cannot get it out of my head! Great song!

Most important point you made IMO is that while this song is fun, it is also serious in what it is. This isn't just a play on country and done to be cheesy and half assed. He did it respectfully and reverently to the genre while being true to himself as well. Now, is this the type of country I go to most times? No. I prefer the George Jones style as opposed to the Bro Country that is the current style. That being said you can't deny he is taking it seriously to make it what it needs to be. If you want to touch as many lives as you can, you need to make as diverse music as you can.
