Sentinel Prime had multiple toys for DotM, was featured in the TV show Transformers Animated so had toys there too, and got one single release via 2016/17's Titans Return toyline as part of the Prime Wars Trilogy. However the Studio Series figure is certainly one of the best of the character.
Transformers fan and abit of a collector here. Just wanna point things out- Yes Grimlock is expensive but if you want the mold but in a different colour, there is the Shattered Glass version which is dark grey, white and purple with teal (the whole good guys are bad and bad guys are good) and the Generation 2 version (which is when 90's colours aka neon bright were cool) aswell. They actually reissue that Leader Optimus Prime under the Buzzworthy Bumblee. Desite being in a somewhat different line, it's the same toy!
I bought the Buzzworthy Bumblebee version of Leader Optimus, but I haven’t opened it yet. I’m fairly sure that there are some paint differences, mainly that he has some darker grays for the “NEST” theme. But it was a great alternative to the third party prices.
2:19 Legacy is a continuation of the "Generations" line which encompasses the WFC trilogy AND Legacy AND Studio Series (at least in the beginning). Idk how much the design teams work across different lines though
You’ve got to be kidding me. I’m an exclusively “in box” collector…but the one time I decide to open something…it turns out to be #1 on your list! I bought Iron Hide at Ross a couple of years ago for like 15 bucks. Oh well…it’s still a cool part of my collection. Great List.
Glad you’re making more Transformers videos, as it’s my main hobby. Kinda surprised Devastator didn’t make it on the list, oh and Barricade is coming in a MUCH cheaper box set with the other 07 decepticons
A couple things you missed: Studio Series has also been doing figures for the War for Cybertron game Blitzwing and Cliffjumper from the Bumblebee Movie line each go for over $100 with Blitzwing averaging from $120 - $130
There is a company that made ko of ironhide, sentinel and dotm prime. Its a company called baiwei that not just reissue these figures but gave them dna upgrade kits as well. As for the constructicons another company made them called aoyi mech but they are less impressive as they only copy the exact figure and added extra paint and die cast metal. Their scrapper however has a detachable left claw with a chain so he can use it like a mace from rotf
I remember when I bought the grimlock, it made me a little tight for cash until I got paid later that week. I kept the receipt in case I needed to take it back, glad I kept it 😅😂
I have leadfoot, sentinel, ratchet, and og Ironhide. I got longhaul for my cousin and saw scapmetal in walmat(who want's that- I got dotm megatron instead). I feel so powerful ; )
last year I ordered a SS mixmaster on amazon that was on sale for 12 bucks and they sent me a SS sentinel prime by accident, at the time I didn't realize how good of a deal I got lol.
I bought my first Studio Series figure a few weeks ago being the Rise Of The Beasts Optimus Prime. It's a Buzzworthy Bumblebee Target exclusive so that made it super hard to find. It's crazy the asking prices are already upwards of $80.
Honestly seeing how much the damage costs for a figure you didn't expect people to scalp hurts your soul so much. For example, I got so viscerally upset seeing how scalped the willy jeep bumblebee, bbm cliffjumper, or blitzwing were on ebay. Those don't even compare to the time I broke my ss stinger, then went onto ebay to see him going for upwards of 300 bucks. Transformers can either be shelfwarmers or extremely financially volatile and you can never predict which figures are going to be scalped. I'm just glad that I bought both ss102 optimus and BBM megstron on preorder before they'll eventually be extremely scalped.
I have all of these and I’m grateful to have gotten them at regular retail prices. Ironhide I don’t own technicaly, I got him in the 2007 15th anniversary box set. I just didn’t get him individually. Excellent video!
I have the Grimlock, which I was blessed enough to get at a massive discount at the time of release. If you're game enough, check out the Titans return line and look for a character named Misfire. The secondary market price for that guy'll blow you off your chair.
I'm a movie figure collector and I remember seeing the first TF movie as a kid and after that it stuck to me so I started to collect all of the studio series figures
There's also transformers earthspark, for the new cartoon, and the buzzworthy subline. The movie mainline figures, etc... there's commander and titans scales
I had just a few months ago begun to go out of my way and collect Studio series figures that I passed over on my first run of the series when it first came out. It feels like ages ago when I was just a young whipper-snapper, trying to collect the first movie deception cast. Anyway after I succeeded in my goal I sold off my collection and just dropped out of Transformers in general. Fast forward about four years and HOLY HECK was I surprised to find that some of my favorite characters, like Dark SIDE (lol) of the Moon Soundwave and Shockwave, had been produced. I eagerly went onto Ebay to snag those figures and was disappointed to find that in my absence the figures had been released, discontinued, and balooned in price on the aftermarket. What's REALLY crazy is that these figures' price are not always indicative of their quality. I like shockwave and soundwave well enough, but I found this used listing for Studio Series 49 Bumblebee for just $15 and I passively grabbed him to go with my Optimus Prime, (who has also balooned in price). Now, that Baumblebee figure is my thrid favorite in my collection! So long story short; yeah Studio Series do be like that...
My favorite figures are honesrlt camaro bumblebee, B-127, crosshairs, and I gotta say mirage, and all of those are very cheap on the aftermarket. Sometimes being a collector is just about trying out what you think makes you the happiest and not buying things to finish a collection
Boy am I glad I have most of this list and most of the SS line in general. I am missing Deluxe DOTM Ratchet, Leader DOTM Prime, and Leader 86 Grimlock (though today I just got Legacy G2 Grimlock, I get the hype over the mold). I'm also missing a few others like Bumblebee Movie Dropkick (both versions), Car mode Shatter, Jeep Bumblebee, and Cybertron B127 which most of those are going for well over their original asking prices. But there are a few others I'm missing too that I want but a bit pricy right now, maybe someday. 🤷♂️ Would love to collect the full SS line. Also collecting a decent selection from the Legacy line right now, mainly RID 2000, Armada, Energon (when they come), and Cybertron, though I do need me a Titan Metroplex still.
Though I loved my Original DotM Leader, I sold him off as soon as I got my hands on SS Sentinel Prime. He looks most sharp paired with Sideswipe and Dino (Mirage) of the same line in vehicle mode.
The Masterpiece Barricade looks way better and is for some reason cheaper, some years ago I got my interest in Transformers again and at that time the OG RotF Constructicons were hard to find but I found some really good KOs of Devastator for a good price, a KO Optimus Prime Leader is on my list too to combine him with Jetfire
Primus was voiced by Ron Halder and Michael Donovan in the Unicron Trilogy, Isaac C. Singleton Jr. in the High Moon games, technically Gregg Berger and Corey Burton in G1 as well as Carol Savenkoff in Beast Machines, and he has a ton of Japanese voices.
Got Grimlock, Long haul, Top Spin and Sentinel Prime either in store or 2nd hand. I also have both Barricade and Leader Optimus through re-releases in Buzzwothy Bumblebee

Much better than the 05 version, and a certified pick-up for if you want a modern Bayverse Prime. 7: Leadfoot: I have this figure. He's fun, but not great. However, it's the best they could do for the design. 6: DOTM Ratchet: I also have this figure. Just like the other Bay Ratchet's (except for the Bumblebee version), this figure sucks. It also has the worst paint job of the SS Ratchet's when the DOTM deco was much better than the 07 one. 5: Topspin: I have this one. Also fun, by somewhat brittle. Not ROTB Scourge brittle, but still. 4: Sentinel Prime: I have the Baiwei KO, he's excellent. I feel like the mold would work well as an SS ROTB Transit. Also, there were Sentinel Prime toys in the 2011 DOTM line, including a Leader class. 3: Barricade: I also have this mold. I'm shocked he's even rare as he has been rereleased TWICE. I would have thought it would have been Bonecrusher on the list, who I still don't have and hasn't been rereleased or KO'd. 2: Scrapmetal: he is rare for... some reason. Why? His SS body NEVER EXISTED. It was just Scrapper, but again. This doesn't make Scrapper an upscaled Scrapmetal, thankfully. 1: Ironhide. He was rereleased once, and KO'd. I have the original figure.
Key point about Barricade: None of his reissues feature the To Punish & Enslave motto on the side of the car, which to a lot of people is a massive deal breaker.

i feel like most of these have lost there value because of the re issues, baricade can now be bougt in two seperate sets one being a buzzworthy bumble bee two pack and the other being in a up coming 2007 4 pack, jetwing prime was also reisued in the buzzworthy line, iron hide was reisued in the 15th anaversy 5 pack aswell as the optimus figure minus the trailer and weapons, and long hual and scrap metal were reisued in a 8 pack with all the constructiocons but they came with diffrent paint jobs so those are kinda odd balls.
TF Was my main collection..but since MPs, and the Titans...nothing is all that good to ne amymore...except those Dinobots. Hope they re-issue Grimlock for people.
8:57 okay you’ve gotten a few small details wrong in this video that are forgivable but Hasbro had at least 3 Sentinel Primes toys released in 2011 alone
Out of fairness, Sludge is still available on many shelve and was the recent release. It should should be more sought after once Slag becomes more available.
Love the idea of the casual shirt, but it’s not working, bro. The material those things are printed on looks so thin and poorly made and there’s just too much happening on it.
How many (if any) of these do you have in YOUR collection?
I won dotm Optimus prime on my birthday but over time he lost paint job and broke a little😢

i feel like most of these have lost there value because of the re issues, baricade can now be bougt in two seperate sets one being a buzzworthy bumble bee two pack and the other being in a up coming 2007 4 pack, jetwing prime was also reisued in the buzzworthy line, iron hide was reisued in the 15th anaversy 5 pack aswell as the optimus figure minus the trailer and weapons, and long hual and scrap metal were reisued in a 8 pack with all the constructiocons but they came with diffrent paint jobs so those are kinda odd balls.
I literally had to click off of the video for how many times you said Dark Side of The Moon 🤣
Anybody else want to give this man kudos on that optimus prime impression. That was pretty damn good
I have 8 of the 10 figures on this list and got them all at retail.
Dark side of the moon 💀💀
TF Was my main collection..but since MPs, and the Titans...nothing is all that good to ne amymore...except those Dinobots. Hope they re-issue Grimlock for people.
I'm pretty sure my scrapmetal is a KO, but I don't mind. Got a legit one with the set.
If you look around long enough, you could easily score Jetwing Prime for 80-140.
8:57 okay you’ve gotten a few small details wrong in this video that are forgivable but Hasbro had at least 3 Sentinel Primes toys released in 2011 alone
With so many of these you're better off getting knock offs.
For the price you pay you get some pretty good quality.
I have that Sentinel Prime, amazing figure.
Good to see more videos from you Big Nerdy! Can we expect to see a return of your haslab analysis videos from you in the future??
Great video, as usual!
Would love to see more TF content from you.👍🏻
Does anyone think that some of the recent studio series will double or triple in price soon?
The voyager Scrapper isn't the same as Scrapmetal they scrap metal is the left hand of devastator and Scrapper is the right arm of devastator
Out of fairness, Sludge is still available on many shelve and was the recent release. It should should be more sought after once Slag becomes more available.
Let's go!!! Love the videos. Hope your doing well.
You made one mistake. Sentinel Prime had a toy in the Dark of the Moon toy line
Good luck if you make a third party figure video. It's absolutely insane.
Love the idea of the casual shirt, but it’s not working, bro. The material those things are printed on looks so thin and poorly made and there’s just too much happening on it.
Nerdzoic, I suddenly have an urge to draw you as a Smoker-bot. But CZcams doesn't allow links, right? How do I send you the image?
