You know when I first saw this comment, I was in the middle of watching season 5 with my brother, and he had already watched the all 8 seasons, so when I saw this comment, I had thought that I had knew that everyone died at the end. So then now, right now after I finished all 8 season, I came back and commented on this. But omg, was I wrong. Hey, at least I didn't spoil the series for me! It was amazing, just wow.

Gregory House is the absolute most complex character in any form of media I've seen. It's quite amazing. Not only am I alwayssss taken away by what the writers produced, but High Laurie's absolutely ridiculous execution of the charcter. Truly, no one could have pulled off this masterpiece.

8 Seasons of House, 8 years of absolute enthrallment. Seen over multiple times, from Season 1 to Season 8. One of the best TV shows ever aired; the flair for the dramatic, devilish sarcasm and comedic routines, brilliant moments of scintillating intelligence. The epitome of pure entertainment. Hugh Laurie and David Shore made Dr. Gregory House truly epic. Will miss him.......
I have chronic pain and struggle to get through my day a lot, and it sounds silly but house really inspired me to get up and keep going sometimes, and the struggle with meds and additions is so relatable, and so honest, it made me feel human 😌

Addiction causes a very unique type of suffering in the addict and those that care about them, and I've never seen it captured in media as well as it was in this show. Obviously it's ultimately TV and sometimes it's a bit dramatic in the way events unfold over time, but the human interactions and the portrayal of what it truly looks like when someone is experiencing an extraordinary amount of mental and emotional pain is absolutely spot on.

You know what happen to House after the ending of the show, remember the story that he was telling the comatose father about the Japanese janitor. That docs has to respect him because he was right. House ended up as a janitor somewhere still saving lives till this day.

I love Hugh. He suffers pain of a different kind, and draws on it to show House at his most vulnerable and beaten. An incredible actor, a decent man, a fantastic musician, a brilliant comedian and a talent we’re fortunate to see on our screens. Wonderful gift to bring such a complex character to life so vividly... I love those moments where you see the good House - the kind, tender, romantic, funny, lovely man he can only manage to be for brief moments. Makes him all the more incredible. Hugh alone does that this well. No other actor I’ve seen portrays pain so accurately.
I’m in terrible pain, every day of my life now. House is the only character I can really relate to, just in the raw display of that pain at the times when he lets it through. It’s all the more powerful because it comes from a character who’s clearly actually a very decent person, someone who desperately wants love and normality....he just can’t have them because his life has become a dark place full of that raw physical pain. People who don’t live in such fierce pain have no idea of the effect it has on every single little part of you, however much you fight.
The worst is knowing that people don’t get it. Families, friends, doctors, officials, colleagues. They just can’t understand because they don’t live with it themselves. Everyone has had pain in their life, terrible pain sometimes, but it usually ends, gets better, or is managed. When you have severe pain that cannot be managed life becomes a cruel joke. A parody lived out by others on a different sphere to you. They play in the sunlit uplands where the weather is kind, with no idea of how lucky they are. We live browbeaten by storms and cold in the darkness of pain, and it’s a very, very lonely place to be.
Enjoy your life in the sun. Be kind to those who struggle to smile and join in - there’s a good chance that they are spending much of their energy fighting the urge to cry out, to scream, to curse, to beg it to stop. And if you’re in the darkness too....know that you’re not as alone as you feel. There’s plenty of us here too. Be good to each other...and light a candle for us in the dark... 🕯
See House as the decent man you see for those brief periods of time, and recognise that it is the pain that makes him a darker figure, bleak, cruel or unfeeling. Pain is a terrible master.

I understand House. I've lived in physical pain since 12yr. I'm 58 now. I try to go in the sunlight as much as possible. No one understands the fight just to be normal. My quote:
Pain is one mans party. And no one can enter. So lonely in the party for 1.

I understand House more then most I feel because I lost vision in my left eye due to trauma and thanks to family issues I never got it fixed. I had many problems from alcohol to vicodin abuse ( I know the irony) It changed me. Made me have a darker view of the world and everyday I feel the pain.

I am on the second go of the series and symphatise with House as on 2020 i received a permanent knee injury... I can move and do sports but its just less and it Hurts 90% of the time. Furstration when you can't function correctly slowly changes you making one bitter and angry
