Few things on the Messi design kinda bother me. The top image is older as he's wearing a different jersey and has a different colour arm band, the direction of lighting & contrast isn't consistent between the 2 images, and the shadow you added doesn't match the lighting either. Really like the typography though

Your redesign of messi feels way "weaker". The original has great vibrancy.
Yours had potentail to really blast it.
Such as:
Replacing the small messi floor with grass and the big one replacing with trophy, or reversed.
It could cast glow onto the stadium. While kerping true to black and white original.
Thats okay! To each their own, but if its the vibrancy that is a problem, those are easy solves. But I also didn't want to add any extras this video. Everytime I do people complain its an entirely different design, now im getting the opposite lol. Can't win, but I purposefully limited myself to assets they used only in an hour.
I will add too; the idea of mine coming off "weaker" being solely based off color may be due to the idea of not understanding a lot of other design principles too. Ill use this comment to share an example. What was the goal of JZ's concept? I can only assume it was a celebratory design based off the needs to showcase his "MVP" next to the trophy they also won at the world cup. Jz's concept didn't showcase aclear theory as to what this post was for. That was solved for.
Alongside plenty of hierarchy and flow problems that were solved for as well.
So the theory that it has to be "bright and colorful" may also factor in color theory issues as well, because sometimes higher contrast colors doesn't convey "legacy" or "prestigious" tones that I used in my head to align the purpose of the poster. You can have different visual pillar words and that's why alot of art is a person to person event because of that reason.
I just wanted to use your comment to share the point so others understand, if you look at a photo for its bright and BIG blocks to share the idea one is stronger or not, it shares lots of looks to where fundamentals left the building haha.
@@SesoHQ yo bro urs is more weaker not just cus of the vibrancy, shadow of Messi is very unrealistic, whole design looks super boring, stadium doesn’t blend well, only good thing I’d say is the typography. Ways to improve it would maybe add some life into the graphic like some light source or depth but it’s 100% ‘weaker’

Go to advanced search and you can take it even further and pick specific minimum dimensions to search for

The color matching is much more accurate between the photos, the colors overall pop much more and convey the feeling of happiness better, the background is more cohesive. The shadow on the original is kinda wack, but the shadow under the boot in the redesign makes zero sense. If the light is coming from the front and to the left (therefore the shadow is behind), there can't be a drop shadow to the front and to the left of the boot.
I didn't really like this redesign that much. I think the original is better.
Most sports shadowing doesn't go for realism just shadow accuracy! But ill take it! If the biggest gromp was my saturation and shadow under foot, I think I performed the redesign well
@@SesoHQ Most definitely. If you're satisfied with your design, that's the most important thing imo. This is not a work for a client, but for fun so all is good.
