Because these competent individuals are not cherish and groomed in india plus reservation in government jobs for unfortunate groups who got the short end of the stick
So they leave to places (US) where they are appreciated for there hard work and effort
Jobs here do not pay well for the task done so they leave
While we claim proudly that they are Indians for their success and fame that they made our country proud but at the same time shaming and belittling these types of individuals here
Ask yourself would stay at a place where no one appreciates you for your efforts, skills and hardwork

India was contributing to one fourth of globe GDP but Britishers forcefully comes and when they left it was just 3 percent in their over 200 years occupation. Education is a key pillar of Indian society success. We will definitely achieve one fourth contribution in next 50 years for sure.

You don't need 20,000 USD to live comfortably in India, a person earning $10,000 usd annually can afford everything that a 100k usd earning person in California can.
BTW ppp gdp India is already in number 3. India needs to become capitalist and free market , we kept electing socialist feudal parties for 50 years (Ahem khangress). So I hope India gets industrialized. India is still semi-feudal. You can see how feudal backward punjab and Haryana zamindars masquerading as farmers blocked farm bills which would have opened up the farm sector of India.
Hopefully in the next 10 years India removes the self imposed shackles it tied to its feet by following socialism and Marxism and fully imbibes capitalism.
And don't forget the so called "Invaders" Mughals did far worse things to India than the British.

I think in India a lot of people want to study and get job in abroad. Many of my maternal relatives slowly started leaving India and going to countries like Australia and Canada.
The reason why many people know English is because India is very diverse so there are a lot of languages spoken by different people so we need a common language that everyone knows. Earlier Hindi was going to be the official language but those who didn’t speak Hindi opposed to this decision. So now Hindi and English are the official languages.
You mentioned that people in japan usually go to china, so do they have a difficulty with language there too or is Chinese relatively easier than English?

    • @dreamingofindia2543
      @dreamingofindia2543  Před 2 lety +22

Thanks for the easy to understand explanation as always!!😆 Well, making English an official language was a smart decision. It made it possible for Indians to become successful all around the world! 🙌🏼🎉
That’s a good point😳 I personally think Chinese is easier to learn than English! It’s because Japanese and Chinese both use Chinese characters for writing which makes it easier to write and understand the meaning. Surprisingly, some of the pronunciation is really similar too!

In the US, the usual package offered is $200k for an IT engineer. Out of it, around 120k comes as annual salary. Now, you have to spend at least 30-40k for a decent apartment. At the end of the year, you'll be left with $20-30k. In India, the same engineer will get a package of around 30 lakhs ($40 k) But the cost of living is so less that you'll be able to save roughly 10 lakhs every year (around $15k). The prospect of living with your friends and family, favourable weather and favourite food makes it worth leaving the extra $10-15k . The thought of contributing to your nation makes it even more satisfying. That's why many people nowadays return after working for a few years. I'm one of them :)

Actually after independence most of the Indian population was living in poverty and agriculture became one of the major sources of income. However due to primitive infrastructure in technology and agricultural sector the people of that generation felt the hardships of life even more. That is how the root to "education is everything" became the moto of every household. Every one wanted to be well educated so that they don't have to face similar hardships that their previous generation experienced. And thats why even if you get 90 percentage you still get scolded by your parents.

Japan has always been a strong supporter in India's development. Yes We still lag far behind when it comes to infrastructure development, social issues, income inequality etc.. But things are starting to change for the good...As said in the video the "Brain Drain" is reducing a lot and many citizens opt to stay back in india and invest their efforts here than going abroad. one thing the video fails to mention is the cost of living in the west to that of in India. Back in india with an earnings of 30000 dollars per year u can lead the most luxuries life one can dream of where as one cant say the same for the west.
Also India is the fastest growing economy and is expected to grow so for the next 3 decades and as per reports India will be the second largest economy below China but above the US by 2050.
Considering all this we can be sure that India is in the midst of a wonderful transformation.

Well I can provide you a few real reason why this might be the case as a software engineer working in IT in India and aiming to pursue post graduation in a foreign nation. It is definitely not true that due to poverty and stuff we are lacking in infrastructure in our country. It’s 2022 and a lot of things has changed. We can easily avail any courses or studies in appropriate manner as we want. Apart from numerous great universities we now also have a lot of online study platforms. All that being said - the major reason for us to try to move to a new country is 1. Salary (Although the salary structure has changed drastically in these 2-3 years but still we are lacking in terms of global avg. And most of us understand that. Personally I don’t want to work the same job what another person is doing for double / triple my salary.
    2. The work culture ( Well this can vary but like Japan, India also has a very strict work culture. Here we are expected to sit for 8-9 hours a day and most of the day we need to do overtime without any extra pay. Although this is also changing slowly but still a long way to go.)
    3. Better prospects of foreign universities.(To be frank it’s really easy to get into a foreign university for us to do masters. In India we need to pay almost the same amount in some cases even more to do masters, wherein we can study in a really good ranking university outside with just that much amount of money so I don’t see a point why not. It also intrigues me as a student to meet new people from all over the world. )
    4. Overpopulation in all the major cities in India. (So there are 6-7 major cities where mostly we can do our job as a software engineer. And all these cities are exceptionally overcrowded. Long traffic jams and lines makes it impossible for us to enjoy our personal time cause we usually don’t get any due to all these. This is been a major personal reason why I am thinking of moving out.)

Hi! Thanks for giving your opinion on this. I appreciate people like you. I’m grateful to hear from an Indian person perspective.
      1. Some of my viewers did not take the salary reason because the living price is lower than the states
      2. is especially interesting because I didn’t know Indians had the same working culture as in Japan😳 I thought Indians were more chill but it was ignorant of me to not know this fact. Although as you said for India, Japan is also changing because of the high suicide rate from over working. I’m glad to hear India is also changing.
      3. Thanks for mentioning these reasons I would never had known without your comment.

Hi! unfortunately, over time culture still exists in Japanese company. HOWEVER if you choose the right field and the right company, people are strict on overtime and won’t even allow you to work long hours! it really matters on the company…generally, financial related companies and manufacturers are said to have less over time. but again it matters on the company! if you want to work in Japan, you do a lot of research on the company!

Yah maybe its called low salary in United States but here in India you are earing 25,000 to 55,000 in a month then you are a proper middle class family. Those who earn more than 1 lakh monthly or daily they considered as rich. Those who earn 15,000 monthly they live with thier skill but with spent full time with family.
