Been in VM for 6 years as a mechanic, first time seeing someone do a video on this job. Pretty straightforward job, no standby for VM&A either.
What are the hours of being a mechanic like?
@ Typically the same as VM&A, 7 to 4 or 7:30 to 4:30, depending on the base. Mechanics rotate standby duty for after hour calls.
Finally a video on our job, I graduate tech school soon. Wish this video was out before I left for bmt

I like it! It’s nice because it’s allows me to pursue school, volunteer and do other stuff outside of work. However, the base that you go to makes all the difference!

Yes, Vehicle management can be mechanics. However, vehicle management and analysis is the Admin portion.

Sure! There are a lot of jobs you can retrain into if you don’t like it.
Im in the enlistment process rt now..im trying to find jobs I like im a CNA rt now so I really wanted a medical job but my recruiter said they are hard to come by. This one appeals to me only bc I do have a family and would like the set schedule...what did u score on your asvab to qualify??
To be honest I can’t remember the score it was so long ago 😂 However, Your recruiter should have the score requirements

Its possible to do school. However, you can't take classes until you finish CDCs.

You can be a fleet manager in the civilian world. literally same exact career.
Do they get paid well
Military pay is based on rank and dependents, not necessarily job. However, there are jobs with bonuses. This job does not have one.
