Louisiana's educational problems have nothing to do with a lack of morals or religious beliefs. I moved from Washington to Louisiana in 10' spent 8yrs there. My oldest started preschool there and went up to the 3rd grade. Her test scores were great and she was passing above satisfactory in every area. we moved back to Washington in 2019, where she started 4th grade, ends of the year her grades were below average, we thought maybe it was because the move. Following year about 3mo in and we had a conference with her teacher, her teacher explained my daughter was behind on everything, the things she knew were the equivalent of second grade learners. We started going back through her records from Louisiana and realized the school was only teaching the children what they needed to know for the school to qualify for federal funding, every test she took throughout the entire year was for each iteration of the leap test, she had a standing order of 2hrs worth of homework a night and that homework was all based on fedral testing. It's a joke. Teachers are payed trash, and many cases they petition the parents to help pay for class supplies, free lunches only apply to children who's families make pennies. Instead of wasting tax dollars by forcing your religious beliefs down suseptible children's throats, invest in teachers and classrooms. We wilfully, without being asked, donate to all 3 of our children's classes here in Washington. The school district provides free meals, free tutoring, free therapy, free after-school programs. All things not included in public education in lousiana.

Absolutely ridiculous! Waste of money that could be actually used for the kids. Also, every other religion can now demand their religion is displayed as well. America has no official religion and was specifically founded that no one religion would be promoted by the government.

This is not original and has been attempted before in American history. Stone v Graham (1980) and Lemon v Kurtzman (1971) are two cases that the Supreme Court have previously ruled against the Ten Commandments or religion in school unless for educational purposes like a class or classroom dedicated to “religious studies”. Not math, English, social studies or even science class…
So the lady on the view has every right to wait with anticipation to see how the (2024) Supreme Court handles this case in LA.
