  • This film explains why this unique river, travelling from the Wombat Forests near Ballarat to the Barwon River at Geelong, is in trouble.
The Moorabool’s health is suffering because of:
    - The increasing water use by Ballarat and Geelong
    - Intensive farming activities
    - The spread of weeds along the river and its tributaries
This film was made by “People for A Living Moorabool” and “Sheoaks Films”.

Government and local council should get off there rear ends and start doing something with the taxes we pay instead of giving themselves pay rises they should held accountable .

Hey guys. I love the doco and care very much about the Moorabool. I have to say though, as someone with a little knowledge of modern consumer and social media, you need to re-edit the start of the documentary. When people share this video, the only image that appears is that of a Boomer. Obviously, the person in the image is someone who cares deeply and is endorsing the doco, but many (honestly most) people will see that image and immediately not watch it, because of that image. The target audience for your doco does not trust boomers, because they are the people who have benefited most from the destruction of the environment. I would strongly suggest opening the doco with an image such as the highly realistic, relevant and illustrative imagery around 13:22. There is a massive volume of material on social media, and it is essential to get peoples attention from the start, otherwise your message will not reach anyone. I can 100% guarantee if you change the starting image more people will watch the doco.
