He was a great villain, he said a lot things that made me think, and in the end he stood before the person who killed his whole family and allowed them to walk free, that’s true forgiveness.
He was half right about God. There is Heaven and Hell on this earth and of ourselves. It's just that most people choose to cling to blind faith because the truth what is "Heaven" and "Hell" is the greatest mystery to all that terrifies some people especially the sheep of today's world.
That confession about his daughter gets to be even more disturbing after just having my first child this year and her having to be in the NICU for the first two weeks due to a collapsed lung. Getting to bring her home just before my b-day will always the greatest present I could get
Oh man, that confession of his about his child. Don't know about you, but his acting, his intensity in that single moment gives me chills and creeps me out more than any of Vaas' outbursts put together ever did. In my opinion, Joseph is far ahead of Vaas in terms of charisma, emotional display, acting and terror that he inflicts. Oh well, ahead not only of Vaas, but of a lot of antagonists in games. He is more eerie and enigmatic, which in my book is more effective that just behaving all crazy, like Vaas did.
If you truly believe that then I don't think you understood Vaas' story or anything he said. His outbursts weren't crazy nonsense. He is a reflection of what Jason Brody was becoming as the game progressed, and he knew that. Vaas is a much better villain than Joseph Seed.
I don’t know about that... I’d probably say Vaas is slightly better. I actually think Jacob Seed has the most interesting outlook of all the Seeds. When I heard his messages play over the speakers as I liberated outposts it made me seriously question if I was on the right side.
"When the lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven, and the seven angels before god were given seven trumpets. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings... and an earthquake. Not gonna lie all the Far Cry villains don't hold a candle to The Father. I'm getting serious David Koresh vibes from him. And I'm not gonna lie, if The Father were real he might end up convincing me. And that scares me.
That scares me too, the father would not convince him but Faith probably she could convince me. I am confident and strong but Faith sounds so dominant and I also found her so attractive, I found them all attractive but Faith is the most pretty, something amazing is about her but I would try stop myself from being with her in the bliss.

Do your eyes not fill with horror? This is the world?! This? This is the world we have built for our children? Communities being torn apart. Walls being erected. Because leaders are too impotent to act. Bullies are too addled to lead righteously.” That right there would be what would make me side with him.
Maybe bad girl for a change. I know we have Faith here but I want bad girl as a leader and girl who is truly evil. Faith was a victim. In New Dawn we had twins but they were terrible. I want sexy, amazing female villain in Far Cry.
Edens Gate had the key things to succeed but blew it by killing and trying to force people to join....hanging dead bodies all around the county is not showing a loving family community lol. They had the keys to success by building on People who wanted someone strong to lead them, Jacob People who wanted to just forget about the world, Faith People who wanted something spiritual, John Add a charismatic leader who talked of love and knew how to convince even skeptics in Joseph and they had the ability to build something. Joseph knew how to convince people with his words...the way he worded things...there is something bad coming..I know YOU can feel it...to just ask if they feel it leaves people wondering but he made them think they knew too and and believed in the same things he did. Many business people do that, Johns yes is a part of that type of business negotiation skills. But Faith's cutscenes just hit me even harder and I just... I could really connect with her. Even if she's a fictional character, I could see some of myself in her. The sad part about any good intentions that John seed might have had is that he harmed people even tough he said he wanted to help them. Kind of like “the path to hell is made up of good intentions”?
The way the followers act when Joseph was being arrested being taken to the helicopter is both sad and amazing at the same time. Far cry's gameplay might be bland but, their acting and cut scenes are amazing.
He wasn't inspired by Jim Jones. Jim Jones' commune was communist and furthest from this. Jones considered himself an atheist and inspired by marxist ideals. They even went as far as to replicate his personality through Seed. Davidians were mass*cred by ATF in Waco Siege.
It's really interesting that Joseph says that the Rook's sin is pride. Yet, in keeping with other Farcry games, the protagonist is just a mirror image of the antagonist. In Joseph's prophecy, God destroys the world with fire. But he never said that Joseph would be a savior; Joseph took it upon himself to become that. In his pride, he thought he could shield his family from Armageddon; in his view, the Rook could have even been sent by God to humble him. To take from him what he thought he could protect. I'm fully convinced far cry definitely has the most interesting and charismatic antagonists in all of gaming history, vaas, pagan min and Joseph seed all individually radiate insanity in their own way, vaas shows insanity unhinged in possibly the most intense way, pagan min not only displays his insanity, but voices it upon his people as their king in a grand way which paints him as either one of two things, a charismatic tyrant or a misunderstood ruler however the line between the two is often vague and Joseph possesses such insane ideals that get to the point of being so insane, that they begin to make sense. I'm relatively new to the far cry series and only recently got introduced to it so forgive me if what I'm saying is inaccurate this just what I think, and I think personally that far cry has the most interesting antagonists in gaming

These creepy but intimate cutscenes were the only reason I continued and finished the game; to know how it all ends.
Greg Bryk did an amazing and convincing job, and I always come back to watch and enjoy his performance.
Sulivan Knoth was even worse than Joseph. He killed a lot of innocent children and other people. Unfortunately we had not enough scenes with him.
Where the FUCK is Greg's oscar for this performance
Do you realize that, other than faith the three brothers Joseph, John, and Jacob all have similarities with their respected biblical figures
What is the music of the minute 7:20?
Amazing grace
Imagine a farcry villain actually killing the main protagonist
Well Joseph definitely didn't. If you played Far Cry: New Dawn you would realise that The Judge is actually Deputy Rook
i like him 😬
Based
He’s a great man! The father is awesome!
Can someone explain to me what in fantastical gobsmashing *_FUCK_* happened at the end? Who set the bombs off? Did trump just say fuck it and slam his head into the shitstorm button? Someone explain before I get a headache trying to guess.
Pagan from FC4 hid the bombs in Montana, apparently.
Have you ever wandered why is he preaching shirtless when you arrest him? İ absolutely love it but...why
To show off his scars. The sins scraped into his flesh with a knife. That's my impression anyway.
@@plumsink Correct. He carved his sins, so people can see, that he suffered too and had a troubled past.
it shows his flock that he has empathy towards their sins and nothing to hide under his shirt. It is a sign of trust.
That's why he does that.
I honestly liked when he wore the white shirt and vest. Dope. So glad, he wears that in the Far Cry 6 Villains Season Pack.
Vaas Montenegro. (FAR CRY 3)
Pagan Min. (FAR CRY 4)
Joseph Seed. (FAR CRY 5)
Anton Castillo. (FAR CRY 6)
When the Antagonists are way better than the Protagonists.
He is so hot.
1:35 can someone tell me what he did to that man?
