I would consider closed cell foam board when you replace the insulation. It’s needed for heat protection too, that black top will heat things up.

That strap may wear a hole in the tank they say a 5 wheel is like a 7.5 earthquake going down the road....take care friends😊😊
The gray tank should not leak into belly it should be sealed. If it is overfilled it will just not go down drain and fill shower pan. So you have a leak on top of tank someplace…

@@SailingLifeonJupiterplug shower drain, fill shower pan with water. Add food coloring and check for leaks. If none evident, pull plug, go under belly with flashlight to find leak. No leak, check shower drain trap u shape pipe fitting and make sure lock nut is tight. If no evident leak. Run water from shower. Now check under belly while water is running. Sometimes leaks only leak when water is running!!

You should review your warentee paperwork.
I'm most cases you violate your ENTIRE Rv warentee by traveling with fluid in any of you tanks. More importantly, blackwater is considered a hazardous waste and you need special signage and permits to transport it.
Those length restrictions are on the trailer ONLY, not including the tractor. IOW, no truck with trailers over 40' such as my 53' dry van. It doesn't matter if I'm driving a day cabs or a condo sleeper which would increase my overall length. Your overall length is 60', but your trailer alone isn't 40' long.
Both FedEx and SAIA trucks were day cabs pulling 40' pup trailers. Overall length ~60'.

No. I still get nervous when going up and down mountains fully loaded and on hairpins like that. Gravity doesn't sleep. And in the other lane could be an idiot. Performance anxiety helps improve your performance and keep you looking out for the worst-case scenario and avoid it. Overconfidence is a killer.
Yup, the snow is beautiful but a PITA at the same time. I'd rather be sailing in the tropics.

I believe when it says no trucks over 40’ means semi with 40’ trailer. On semi tractor trailer the wheels are on the very back of trailer so the wheelbase is much longer and will cut corners more. Your trailers wheels are close to the middle so in reality you have the wheel track of a 20’ semi and trailer. for almost all double line highway roads your trailer is gonna be ok.
That makes sense. Hard to interpret what they mean except for literally. We got away with it!

Fines begin at $1,000.00 and can increase to over $4,000 for a second offense.

With all the troubles you’ve had with that 5th wheel ( not to mention cost of the RV and the truck) I wonder if finding a live-aboard marina for Jupiter on the west coast (if there are any) wouldn’t have been more economical? Just buy a car for exploring and save a buck.
The insulation isn't just for the weather it has a lot to do with noise and the floor when u walk
They're talking more like about tractor trailers that are hauling doubles not a truck pulling a camper

Likely another year or so. We can’t really do both. Reckon we will be done RVing after 1 more summer.

This thing IS Ally frame…very thin stock tho and horribly built.
@SailingLifeonJupiter Yeah, American RVs look cool, but they are flimsy and poorly thought out, by and large. Small issues cause disproportionate problems. Bad roads do, too, which they should not. At least the trucks aren't bad.
