I will discuss with you habits you should be developing before you actually click that shutter as well as the basics of off-camera flash photography, light manipulation and posing. this is what i try to get figured out. my results almost always seem too contrasty.
what do you do for your "processed images"?
Hahahaha. Maybe I should. As for processing usually just exposure and brightness if needed and minor retouching

Don't you control the background with shutter speed? So to make the background lighter, just reduce the shutter speed.
I think it is a better idea to show the face of the mua also, after thanking her. Provided she is still there. If not, just show a picture of the mua.
