Sure is, I hope my dear old Miss Lola is somewhere like this, she used to love running around in green spaces. My little puppy BooBoo (nearly 2) her idea of heaven would be a big pebble beach with lots of small yappy dogs, barking at waves, I think all dogs go to heaven❤

Lee is like the Pied Piper, where he goes, the pack follows. From that you can tell how much love they have for him which obviously works both ways, just beautiful!.

While that would be nice, many adopters are camera shy. Besides it's time consuming. I was thinking Lee start with putting up either pictures with a little blurb how and when they ended up at Asher House, and now they've been adopted. Hopefully that wouldn't be too difficult.

Just looking at all these beautiful angels you saved makes me so emotional. I cry every rescue day tears of happiness for the precious souls that never have to worry again and tears of sadness for the ones who don't have anyone. In a perfect world there would be no living being without someone who loves them. I truly believe your doing Gods work and the love and joy in your eyes and face every time you rescue one of these angels is absolutely beautiful.

Lee, we had a retired racing Greyhound (now sadly 😢passed) that had been in the system for 4 years because he raced well. He was very damaged from the experience, physically and emotionally, thank God it’s now outlawed in most of the US. So even though he ran after the “bunny” at the track he was very gentle and actually loved small dogs, they were his favorite. He ignored squirrels and the many real bunnies bounding around our suburban neighborhood, however, he thought all cats must DIE immediately. That he (mostly) cared so little about small animals was specific to this dog and not a common trait of the breed.
For anyone that’s interested in having a Greyhound, they make great apartment dogs! They’re total potatoes, surprisingly requiring very little exercise - zonking out for much of the day, rarely if ever bark, are low shedding and very graceful around small spaces and breakables. But because of the prey drive, they’re sight hounds that were originally bred for hunting, they do always have to be leashed or in a tall enclosure. If off leash and they see something they want…poof they’re off at up to 45 mph, ignoring your recall, and will be lost. If you’re interested in having one, your research will confirm what I’ve said.
All true! We have a retired Greyhound and went with the breed because of the qualities you described. She is a fun loving goofball, very people friendly. Loves to hunt, very good on leash, bunnies and cats are the bane of her existence haha
@@vintagepanj Thanks for your comment! My guy was one of those dogs that hate the crate, and you know they were crated most of the day at the track. So when we got him his front teeth were all broken, we think from trying to get out of the crate. So right there we had a lot more than your usual amount of dental work. He never was real social, but sweet and gentle at all times except with the aforementioned cats around the neighborhood. He was especially good with my special needs nephew.
