Just an amateur video with the Citroen DS - 23 Pallas Brun Scarabee. Sorry for the bad quality but seeing a Citroen DS video is always a pleasure. At least for me :)

mon père a possédé une traction avant 15cv familiale modèle 1938 qui avait été cachée durant 5ans dans une ferme en Bretagne pour la ramener en Algérie. puis de retour en France il a racheté deux autres modèles identiques plus récents à Malle ronde,puis carrée.tout jeune enfant ! j'en garde un souvenir inoubliable..! surtout les odeurs de crin végétal et du tissu des sièges.et ,bien sûr ses fameuses DS au nombre de huit au total... ( quel fabuleux souvenir...!)

The DS was simply light years ahead of its time. It's still the most beautiful sedan ever made IMHO. I love your 2CV and Dyane too.

Oui, à l'époque pas trop de sous pour mettre de l'essence ... je désespère pas d'en retrouver une un jour, c'est la déesse de la route cette voiture, prends soin de la tienne qui est superbe !
Je suis pas l'auteur de cette video juste que mon père avait une ds bleu nuit et j'adorais la suspension hydrolique . Aujourd'hui elle coute plus de 20 000 euro bien restorer et elle sont coûteuse a l'entretien
J'en ai même vu une à 28000 euros !!!
Moi a 30 000 euro , le prix d'une ferrari 308

J'ai eu deux Ami 6, une 2 CV, une visa, une CX et une Saxo.
Everything about that car is pure art. Achingly pretty! Quirky in a way that only Citroen can do really well.

I was once driven in one that had the exact colour as this one.It was a Pallas and it road like a cloud,every one on the road admired it with some givig us a thumbs up.I hope I can get it's spare parts because I am really serious about restoring one myself.

Having owned an XM, I've always wanted to restore a CX. My wife won't let me do it (says it's plain ugly), so the only ones we both agree on are DS and SM. Time will show which one I'll take up as a project.

Que dire de cette voiture même vingt ans après elle donnait un torticolis à tous le monde quand elle passait, que du bonheur cette grande dame. Alors maintenant plus de soixante ans après hummmm.

ce modèle est en très très bon état, on voit qu'il s'agit d'un collectionneur passionné.
A part la traction de Citroën , la Ds est la meilleur voiture de la marque.
La 23 en plus une puissance de 130cv qui est plus puissant que la plupart des citadine de nos jour !

The biggest let down of all was the speed with which the vehicle corroded. Your average Citroen would rust away in under four years! Otherwise, a world-beater.

Ο πατέρας μου είχε στο ίδιο σοκολατί χρώμα την DS του 1975 και γυρίσαμε με την "παριζιάνα" (έτσι την έλεγε) όλη την ευρώπη μέσα σε δέκα καλοκαίρια. Από το Γιβραλτάρ μέχρι το Ροβανιέμι... Το πιο ξεκούραστο και άνετο αυτοκίνητο που έχω οδηγήσει στην ζωή μου. Ακόμα δεν πιστεύω πως το δώσαμε για απόσυρση το 1992... Ήταν σε άριστη κατάσταση απλά η συντήρηση του ήταν ασύμφορη πια λόγω έλλειψης ανταλλακτικών. Εύχομαι να το απολαμβάνετε μέχρι με τα βαθιά γεράματα σας και να το κληρονομήσετε στα παιδιά σας.!!

That is because producers are stupidos and do not want to make a good product wanted by their clients.Look at the modern models; as if they are members of an inbreeding family. Top: mercedes; with their model "Rolls Royce"; looking like an oversized gipsy toy.
Also VW with the model beetle; total failure. While complete factories of VW are in Brasil and Mexico.Some technical adjutment and then sale.
The models from Citroen: the 2CV; this model, big delivery van.
Renault: Renault 4
VW: beetle and VW bus
Rolls Royce: the REAL model RR (give that new model to gipsies)
DAF: weaponcarrier--with new motor; dikke DAF, small daf 650cc.
NEKAF jeep...
But then; when we are reviving industry: shit on Brussels; restart Fokker.

And yes, if Citroen would know marketing, they would suply parts of old models at normal price.

Io ne ho avute 2 . La prima 1900 rossa lo usata molto e ho fatto tantissima strada ed ha sempre funzionato benissimo. L a seconda l'ho usata poco perché consumava molto era un 2300 iniezione elettronica. Comunque i telai erano uguali , i motori diversi. Sono ancora le più belle macchine che io abbia avuto.

Le circuit oléopneumatique marche bien 1000 tours suffisent pour faire travailler la pompe à Lockeed.

I had the same green but with hydraulic gearbox. I was towing a boat that I felt not even.
