Finally this season Utds results have caught up with their performances. They haven’t played well as a team for years because there has been no culture and no principles or style of playing. Thank you. Bruno is a No.10 from Pele's era when they were supporting strikers and were there to score goals and sometimes support the midfield. The modern day central midfielders are the new No.10s. The likes of Zidane, Rui Costa, Ozil in his pump, and David Silva, young Juan Mata. They play make, control tempo, most importantly they knit everything together and sometimes chip in a couple goals throughout the season. Fact is, apart from goals Bruno gives us nothing. From day one it has been that way. People got carried away with his goals and never looked at the intangibles. He is a supporting striker nit a No.10. The way we play we need a No.10. Young Odergaard is way ahead of him in that position. How do you have a No.10 that loses the ball 50% of the time?

Against Aston villa, I have supported Bruno even though he missed the penalty. Because missing penalties happen. But today stepping up to take a penalty when he is in worse form of his career (even missed a good chance in the game itself) is unacceptable. How Bruno wasn't sent off is mind boggling.
Bruno - The whole point of taking a penalty like that is to send the keep the wrong way and pick a side , that means you have to hit the target. The other way of taking it is to go for placement and power and thats more risky in some ways because you need to hit the area that the goialie can't reach ( even if he goes the right way) . Bruno's technique does not rely on placement and power because he's trying to con the goalie. The prioblem was that he went for too much placement and power when there was no need . He sent the goalie the wrong way in the end and could have put it a yard inside the post.

Just saying “De Gea made many superb saves” is a contradiction to “defenders played well”. Arsenal were allowed into our box far too many times. And we didnt control the midfield for a single second. He's good in his first season because of the impact he brought to the team and his stats, but after that season he's been found out as being bad in ball control and always aims for hollywood pass. That's the best united have played for eons bar a few players. I believe one of the reason was the dropping of Mcguire, not only his lack of pace and united playing a higher line but also his lack of confidence which seems to spread when he plays. Bruno has been a problem all season losing the ball too often and trying the Hollywood pass to much.
