Real nice job, the colors are perfect, I really like the customs, they bring bock good memories of building them as a kid, thanks for sharing! Subbed you.
Very nice, love the choice of green. BTW Gary Usher was an early writer on some of the Beach Boys hit songs. "409" is one that comes to mind.
Just found your channel great content i will be staying tuned in
Very nice, looks great
Looking good Dario.
Cool looking build, glad to see those micro brushes helped out. I often use them like a marker to paint edges. That Kristal clear is a big improvement over the kit window glass. Nice work.
I really did not want to mess up that "last part" window trim by hand brushing an uneven edge and did not want to mask it either so that micro brush really came in handy. Thanks again!
You're very welcome, they work well for that.
Very nice build.
Looks great.
You put a tape deck in a show rod so you can have music for your display at the show. Reel to reel has the advantage of a super long play time
I passed on that kit and now I wish I wouldn't have! Yours turned out awesome 😎👍
Thanks. I've passed on many kits in the past that I later regretted. Nowadays I take the "life is short" approach and just go for it.
Very cool build!
Thanks!
Great build
Thanks.
Because they were show rods that were different from the days rides, and were cars of the future, they used things like tvs and tape players that were luxuries then but things they figured would be in all cars someday.
I do remember TVs in some of them. In a way they were correct that we would have tapes. We used to have an 8 Track cartridge player in our car which was an 'add on' we had to install ourselves. Those were the days.
@@dariosmodelbuilds Yep, I remember too. I can't say that was the total reason they put those items in, but it seemed to be the case.
Cool model. I'm the 400th Subscriber on your channel. 👍
Thank you. I knew I was approaching 400 and was even going to mention that in my next video. I love all modellers but particularly those that do not only build one type of model like you and me. I've already been subscribed to your channel for some time.
@@dariosmodelbuilds Thank you so much. Have a great day.
@@goforitpainting You got a shout out in my latest video for being my 400th sub. czcams.com/video/QRAYBpe8zLQ/video.html
Turned out really nice Dario!!!, 😎👍
Thanks Tom!
Wow! That thumbnail looks great, so I had to watch this video.
I didn't know the Surf Hearse was part of the kit. - Thought it was something you kit bashed.
Wish I didn't miss out on it!
If you get a chance, please check out my Heller 1926 Citroen build/unboxing video. I brush painted the whole thing and added a unique historical paint job on it. - I saw that you brush painted the frame with Testor's and I like Testor's too.
Cool operational features!
As an idea, why not look for some "Beach" people figures and make a little display stand where they are hanging around the car, in the sand, and someone is watching the TV?
Did just that and commented there.
@@dariosmodelbuilds Thank you!
The Capital modeler??? But your from Toronto correct??? The Capital of Canada is Ottawa is it not?
Why do you think I'm from Toronto? I am in Ottawa. I was not sure which name to use for the channel, "Capital Modeller" or simply "Dario's Model Builds" so I kept both on the banner.
@dariosmodelbuilds I am in ottawa. We should chat more. I'm considering starting content of my own and we might very well be able to help each other out quite a bit.
The "Model Car Minion" is also a fellow local CZcamsr so check him out as well. We'll have to try to meetup at the next Ottawa event. Hopefully Bill from The Hobby Centre will have a spring or summer parking lot "Flea Market" this year. Great chance to meet a lot of local builders AND good deals on model.
