  • After Decade of Decadence, Neil left in February 1992, at a time when other bands in the 1980s glam metal scene (Ratt, Stryper, White Lion, Winger, Europe, and Britny Fox) broke up amid the advent of grunge. Controversy persists over whether Neil was fired or quit. Sixx has long maintained that Neil quit. However, Neil insists that he was fired. "Any band has its little spats," Neil observed in 2000, "and this one basically just stemmed from a bunch of 'fuck you's in a rehearsal studio. It went from 'I quit' to 'You're fired' ... It was handled idiotically. The management just let one of the biggest bands in the world break up."

Motley Crue made a misstep with John Corabi, but the positives looking back on it seems to be that the people who hated Vince Neil got the 94' album, and the others got a GREAT! album from a motivated Vince Neil with "Exposed"
    A perfect compromise.

Mick Mars is Motley Crue regardless that he's too sick to tour anymore, and they got Jon 5 to tour with them. Mick needed them back in the day, but they just turned their back on him and each other. 94 was a very good album. They should have changed the name of the band though. Would have been better considering the time it was released. All things considered its still the original four. They started it, sold their souls, and that's that. My opinion and that's what it is.. Would love a new album!!

So funny to hear them all arrogant about removing 1 ingredient out and putting a stronger one in and fail totally while listening at Vince here, he was right about the music not being Motley Crue.
I love the Corabi record but I would have been happier if they kept Vince and continue in the Primal Scream vein that they were on before trying to be Led Zeppelin.
Anyway. MC94 and EXposed are two amazing records but Sixx was arrogant about Vince and paid for it.
