Easily repair a bullseye chip in your windshield in less than 1 hour! This DIY kit, made by Permatex, has everything you need for the repair: amzn.to/3P61SGG (ad)
Tempered glass of a side window is different from the laminated glass of a windshield. It may work to fill in the chip, but would probably still be noticeable and might not stay in the chip long-term.
I think the theory is that, if the plastic base is sealed well, creating a vacuum removes the air from inside the chip and allows the resin to fully penetrate all of the chip. Then when you reverse to positive pressure, it pushes the resin where you created the vacuum.
😬 well, probably the only downside is that it won’t be quite as transparent if you skip the clear film step. But at least the chip is filled now, right?
Did you have the syringe pressed in hard enough for the compression fit in the pedestal? The first 10 minutes is a vacuum, so it doesn’t have to be as tight. But the following 20 minutes (on the upper indent) is positive pressure, so it needs a little more of a solid connection to stay put.
My main reason to use this ASAP is to prevent it from cracking, as a chip typically does. Had a bad chip/small crater on a windshield used this or similar product, hasn't cracked in 7 years.

would this work on a driver side window? i have just a tiny chip.

Would it hurt to do this twice? It seems to have helped for sure but there’s still some remaining
It might work, but probably not if the surface was sealed off by the resin.
Good video just dont apply any pressure on the glass !!! I broke mine more 😢nl fffff
Oh no!
@@FixandMaintain yup im a dummy here goes 8k$ 🙉 amg my ass great video brother keep it up ! 👍✅
$8K for a new windshield?!? Thanks, I appreciate it
Great!!!

When you pull up creating a vacuum it pulls all the liquid from the bottom !

It’s still there
But it did make it much less conspicuous and also reduces the chance that it will develop into a long crack later on.

I fucked up smh I didn’t save any resin 🙃

@@FixandMaintain so there was some resin left actually which is good news and yes it did fill in! Thanks for this video💪
would this work on cracked phone screen too???
Unfortunately no. While this would fill in the cracks on a phone screen, it would still be very noticeable.
That syringe wouldn't stay on that second indent because it's upside down 🙃

I messed up. It wasn't hot enough outside and when I took the sticky tab off all the resin began to run.
Uh oh! Just give it some extra time curing with the leftover resin and clear plastic sheet
Nice, if you wanna spend 20 dollars for one chip!
Much better than $200+ for a whole new windshield! Sealing chips are supposed to prevent cracks from spreading across the windshield.
