We need more RHCP. I grew up on this shit and they are IMO the GOAT. Each individual member is so talented. Their lead guitarist is John Frusciante and he is a fucking legend!! One of if not the best guitarist of his time (not technical tho). He can make a guitar cry like no one can and still make it catchy.

That “wah wah chicka wow wow chicka wah wah” funky “sound” you’re hearing is just a groovy electric guitar run through a pedal called (funny enough) a Wah Pedal, or some people call it by its brand name, a Cry Baby pedal. Jimi Hendrix almost always used one. Combine a Wah pedal with some palm-muted chords and some muted scratching and Voila! Yes, VERY funky!
