  • @miyuden4118
    @miyuden4118 Před 5 lety +3

    I used that build as a base and expanded my own one upon that.
    I went almost full on Geo, full warfare and full retribution and I killed a lvl 20 with two hits while I was lvl 18. (My friend that glass canon died xD)
    I started the fight with 1 HP and because My chest armor gives me permanent Death Wish. I buffed up my phisical armor fully and had 13.000 Physical armor, I used Living on the Edge on myself so that the enemies deflection buff can't kill me. I hit him with 11k dmg from reactive Armor, then I used shacles of pain on him because his 11k Physical shield was demolished.
    I already was fully healed even though he had deflection.
    My friend that died before was my tool to get on low health again, so I used rezzed him with last rites. My luck, it critted and I lost all my life down to 1 HP again. Then I threw my shield on the enemy and made 20k dmg due to a crit and him reflecting dmg to me which was reflected back to him due to shackles of pain.
    I use mixed Physical & Magical Armor based gear, every gearpeace though gives me INT.
    I love to be Overpowered.

    How do you play this build at low lvl ? At lvl 3 with only a few skill once my 3 damaging ability have been used I'm stuck with either very weak auto attack with a 1hander weapon due to now str or using a wand and doing elemental dmg on a build that based around physical dmg. I'm trying to duo this build with your Dread Knight build and my Knight have to do everything alone I'D say in Fort Joy

      Its a tough one to start with because of spell cooldowns but make sure you get more skills as soon as possible from that diseased lady in the tent at fort joy.
      Also use strength based weapon and bouncing shield skill for first region. That way you can always contribute.

    Just got the game when it went on sale on PS4 the other day, I'm binge watching build videos for a general idea for what I want. Leech I think would kinda interfere with the build if the enemies can get passed your defense and since everyone I watch with their characters in the end game, it's useless cause it's just small heals as you're walking over blood. It might save your ass if something can down your defenses, but if you want to focus more on offense then yeah ignore it. I'd say it's super useful in early game though

  • @AluminiumSFD

    Hi. Is necromancy life steal work with retribution?

  • @Amatsuichi
    @Amatsuichi Před 6 lety +2

    Hi man,
    very nice guides and builds. Although in most of them you are already at lvl 21 which scales your gear and stats big time in comparison to the underlevelled paladins at the bridge - lvl 18.
    I've seen some mods in the workshop which actually make the game harder, adding additional mobs to all groups or even additional spawns in locations where they were not before... may be it would be interresting how these builds work agains an enemy who is really challenging :)
    Other than that, another nice idea for a build, GJ.

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  Před 6 lety

      +Amatsuichi
      Paladin bridge is 18 and 20.
      Its not the level thats the issue, its how many there are. They do huge dmg in one turn.
      Yeah, seen the mod. Dont really need it for the bridge. Its still tough to pull off on tactician. Proper rotations are necessary.

    • @Amatsuichi
      @Amatsuichi Před 6 lety

      Agree. May be Ive got my wrong feelings about the bridge from my playthrough where those paladins felt really easy... but my group was lvl 20 and difficulty was classic... have to check it out on tactician. The whole Arx area feels kind of underwhelming in comparison to the start / mid game... not sure why, but I was somehow awaiting too much from the late game :)

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  Před 6 lety

      +Amatsuichi
      Agreed. Arx was rushed.
      At the start of the bridge paladins are 18.
      Then more of them 20s are popping up further you go.
      If you have good party then youll beat them anyway but on tactician it can be tough.
      Easier method is to start making your way from the beginning to clear couple of 18s.
      Toughest method is to start from healer at the mid of the bridge.

  • @DocSardo
    @DocSardo Před 6 lety +1

    Here's an interesting challenge: Use this build (or minor variation) from the very start in Honour Mode as a solo lone wolf character (no Fane). No respeccing allowed, so you need to work on your final build from the beginning. No stealing from vendors or other OP cash-making cheese. No using play dead or fleeing with skills like Tactical Retreat to reset fights and pick enemies off one at a time. Movement skills ok as long as the fight isn't reset. Invisibility ok (like Cloak or potions) as long as fight isn't reset. Been trying this out and it is very difficult. The problem is making it past the early game and tough fights like the turtles, crocs and frogs.

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  Před 6 lety

      +DocSardo
      I wouldnt find it fun but its an interesting idea.
      I make a lot of mistakes, forget some interactions and such so i dont think i would get far.

    • @DocSardo
      @DocSardo Před 6 lety

      It's tough that's for sure. First attempt I tried Sebille and Necro/Summoning to start (but I limited myself to only the Necro slug summons) and it was too squishy. Now I'm trying Red Prince with early points in Str and Con to use plate armor and shield (could also try 2-hander), and points into Warfare/Necro then Geo (level 2) and Poly (level 3 - cloak and chicken). Memory for more spell slots. Start pumping up Int after enough in Str. Seems like it can work. Meteor (oil slick) plus flame breath combo helps with crowds. Still difficult, but should get easier if I can make it to level 4. Plan is to ultimately have your build build here, or a hybrid with your other necro build. Agree it's not for everyone, but fun if you like a challenge.

  • @YourBoyNobody530
    @YourBoyNobody530 Před 2 lety

    So, I have a similar build except it is a more warrior focused version swapping intelligence for strength. The combat stats are pretty similar with the addition of 1 scoundrel, 3 polymorph, 1 pyromancer, and 2 aerotheurge. Obviously, I use most of the warfare skills except I only use shackles of pain, raining blood, death wish, blood sucker, bone cage, and living on the edge from necromancy. I also use bull horns, skin graft, tentacle lash, heart of steel, chicken claw, chameleon cloak, and apotheosis from polymorph. The other skills I use are vampiric hunger, teleportation, uncanny evasion, fortify, frost armor, cleanse wounds, haste, peace of mind, adrenaline, cloak and dagger, and summon inner demon. Mind you I do not use all these skills at the same time, and often use a select few skills I find to be optimal for every situation along with several scrolls typically of buff spells like living armor, peace of mind, and fortify along with restoration. As for the talents I use living armor, executioner, hot head, and other useful talents. Lastly, I do use a two hander as the extra damage is more valuable than the armor restoration in my opinion seeing as I pretty much never run out of magic armor as living armor combined with necromancy will keep magic armor high, and even if they do get to my vitality I can just pop vampiric hunger and death wish to heal all the way to full very quickly using skills like uncanny evasion, chameleon cloak, and living on the edge to avoid dying or getting hit. In addition I typically am carrying bone cage, heart of steel, and fortify on my bar meaning I have plenty of ways to restore physical armor.

    • @YourBoyNobody530
      @YourBoyNobody530 Před 2 lety

      All of that adds up to most fights not even breaking through my armor aside from particularly difficult ones like the paladin bridge, and when it a party good luck doing anything because having a hydromancer and/or a geomancer with this build is all manner of busted. My typical team setup involves this character a hydromancer, geomancer, and a ranger with one of them having a side focus on summoning and another focused on buffing. Even then I sometimes switch the geomancer and/or the hydromancer for rangers with different focuses.

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  Před 6 lety

      Yes, it is viable whole game.
      Every point into INT until you need more Memory slots.
      Then when INT is about 30 (base, not with gear) id start putting points into wits.
      From combat abilities put 3 points into necromancy max and that is gonna be enough for the whole game. Up to you when you want to get to those 3 points (another option is putting 1 point and through gear getting to 3).
      Combat abilites either prioritize warfare or retribution. Dont neglect the other one, put couple of points into that.

      RPG Division wow what a quick answer!!! Thanks a milion will certainly try that (once the kids sleep 😀 ). May I ask one more? I’ve startred the game with Ifan as my main. Pure physical crossbow dmg, sebille as a rogue with pure physicall, lohse as enchanter and red prince as a fighter...I’d like to build 2/2 magical/physical. And i have no idea who should be the second magical and how to build him. Any short tip? I dont like the prince that much so i thought i would twist him into some mage... •  Před 6 lety +1

    1 good combo that I use is:
    vs Single target - Reduce the armor from the enemy to 0 > Cast Fortify on you > Cast Bone Cage > Cast Shackles of Pain on the enemy > than Cast Reactive Armour - Doing this you will double damage on the enemy because Reactive Armour does damage on you and with Shackles of Pain will give some damage back to him.
    vs 2 target - just do all the same as vs Single target but this time cast Shackle of Pain on the other targe, the damage you receive from Reactive Armour will pass to the other target.

      Its true. Now im gonna start focusing on magic side of things more.
      Problem is that necro spells sre resisted by physical armor and they do physical dmg. Staff is exclusively magic dmg.
      On 1 character 2 dmg types are not a good idea.

      Interesting. So if you melee attack with a staff it does magical, not physical, damage? Even if you use a Warfare skill like Whirlwind? The Pyro is really effective like the first half of the game, then quite all the monster have 70% or more resistance to fire and poison. If you want to go wizard, imho, better go aero+hydro, much more damage and CC combination, or full geomancer (and you don't even need int, just scale with geo skill!)

      This looks like a fun build to try on my solo Fane Tactician run when I get to Act 2. Currently using a high Finesse/Wits sniper bow build - Huntsman/Scoundrel/Warfare/Poly/Pyro. How would that work mate? I think this is closest to it, no?

      Hmm, i guess im just thinking of a thematic build that focuses entirely on draining as much life from enemies as possible. So for instance having leech, as many abilies that create blood as possible, the vampiric aura skill, maybe a variety of ice abilies, and an overall high life steal stat

    can anyone explain to me why his necro skills take one less AP to cast than mine? for example raining blood in my game takes 2 to cast.

    • @rpgdivision
      @rpgdivision  Před 6 lety +1

      With elemental affinity talent if youre standing in blood all spells cost 1 less AP

    So I did a respec after watching this. Then reran the final battle in tactician.. Opened with blood storm, criticals and lost armor all around, blood rain, everyone is bleeding, grasp of the starved and all but dallas and lucian are dead, not much left on those two, Lohse cleans them up. Overkill I guess, didnt even get to fight braccus and his cronies. Honor run is next

      I don't do builds for easy mode or play at that one. Only for hard and hardest difficulties in any game.

    Why do you put more than 1 point into Warfare? It says it's for physical damage. Isn't this build all magical damage?

      You got it all wrong mate. Necro spells are physical and scale with warfare.

    So wear intelligence gear, but boost warfare ? Very counter intuitive :/ Also this build is probably weak on Act 1

    • @rpgdivision

      Gear and warfare have no connection whatsoever.

    Stop saying "It's a blank slate" and start saying what the CORE ABILITIES are. I have absolutely no idea what you did or why because you wouldn't explain it in the 1st half and I just gave up caring after. Terrible video.
