Harley fuckin' Quinn moralizing to Batman is the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. The same Harley that has kidnapped people, murdered them, robbed people, manipulated them, and then laughed about it later with her sociopath clown boyfriend. The writers behind this game should honestly never be hired again. They had zero respect for the characters they butchered, because fans of the source material would not have written some garbage like this.
Not to mention, she's also the one who drugged, waterboarded, and gaslighted Jason, even naming him the Arkham Knight in between beatings and torture from Joker.
Basically they were trying to use the anti-hero style Harley Quinn from the movies and modern comic books. If this game was unconnected from the other ones it would be possible to manage it, but their insistence on connecting it to the Arkham games blows that out of the water because she had been established accross those games to be an unrepentant pure badguy and a simp for the joker. It isn't enough to just say she changed in the time between the Arkham games and Kill the Justice League, they're trying to sell us the line that she was always a completely different character than the one we have all seen the whole time! At least if a comic book does a recon, they give a reason why a character was acting in a certain way, like they were brainwashed or coerced or were trying to trick someone. In this they just said "she was different than what you actually saw. Why? Don't ask us, try asking someone who gives a crap!"

Flash is the saving grace of the sushi squad, and for his goodness is humiliated, denigrated, and nearly has his still warm corpse pissed on. Green lantern is put into the simple role of “space cop" and "cop bad and evil" and for some reason has Deadshot in a rivalry with him, which makes no sense. Wonder women is…..there, is the only one to get a decent death, because we can’t show women in a bad light, or something. And Superman, again, is literally just some super powered chump who is portrayed as a monster, which is such a tired and drawn out plot line. Can you make a game, with this plot, work? Yep. But not here, not while shattering the image of these heroes that people love and have grown up with.
This is the most disrespectful game I've ever seen. Sweet Baby Inc purposefully wrote this in a way to disgrace Batman, Superman, the Flash and Green Lantern. The only character treated with any reverence is Wonder Woman, for obvious reasons. And even she died like a chump. I'm glad that this game is failing harder than Gotham Knights did, at least that game gave Batman a death that made sense for him.

"Best batman game ever" is a title that demands perfection. Like EVERYONE involved in the project was 100% on board and willing to grind and sacrifice for a batman game with the justice league. I agree though this game should have started more stealth focused working to take down batman to use his plans and tech to take down the other members of the league. From there the story could make more sense but either way it needs plot armor cause 19 times out of 20 the league could stomp them within a hour.
It's 100% possible to write a story with Villain(s) in the lead and have a game centered around them Look at Prototype. You're genuinely an absolute psychopath, but the gameplay's so damn fun and Alex Mercer, while generic, does have some interesting story beats Look at GTA, any of them (but mostly IV) Look at God of War Look at Saints Row 2 etc You're 100% hitting it on the head, you just need good writing and great gameplay

The Flash pulling out Lex's heart is also dumb because the writers must not know where the human heart is. The blood stain is on the far left of Lex's chest, like basically at where his nipple would be. The human heart is more so in the middle of your chest. Man seeing the justice league interactions before the brainwashing makes it even more depressing that we didn’t get a justice league game. The story could have been about Batman learning to trust again after Arkham knight, and end in him coming out of “hiding”publicly because despite the world knowing his identity, he’s not alone in protecting the world and his loved ones.
And if they really wanted a fight the justice league game why not use the one guy who canonically has a plan for each individual justice league member to point the suicide squad in the right direction?

Yep. It should have been a lot more for each boss fight. Like use the speed force decoupler plus boomers gauntlet, to force the point that boomer is slowing flash down, while boosting his speed, then develop a way to make an arena in extreme cold to fight him. The yellow lantern key chains somehow infuse yellow energy into guns....sure, but why not fight GL in the batcave? Fight GL in the dark, limit his movement, and fill the cave with fear toxin to disrupt his will..
It honestly would be a better game if they were assholes at first but as they realize they kill batman and the other justice leauge members they reconsile and actually grow as characters like if harley broke down finally understanding bruce was trying to save and help her for the longest time and its only after his death that she finally breaks her psychosis
You brought up the idea of a bunch of misfits working with Batman and that basically made me think of The Outsiders. (at their first appearance anyway) they were literally a group of misfits brought together by Batman to be something of an alternative to the Justice League. That would have been a very interesting idea to use them as the people to fight the brainwashed Justice League and could give some more flexibility in temperment and powers to fight and they wouldn't have to lean on the whole "being villains" thing. But, the Suicide Squad had the movies and it had to be a live-service thrid person shooter so any creativity in gameplay and characters had to be thrown out to make the repeat paying grindy crap that people are getting more and more sick of!
It’s a shame because I actually really liked the game and even got to finite crisis rank 100, got the gold outfits, all characters max level, and great tier 3 builds; but the game’s servers are so broken I can’t even log into the game anymore. They release some updates that claim to address server issues but everyone on Reddit is complaining about the same issues. Even the people like myself that like the game can’t enjoy it because it’s broken. Hopefully the next year of content releases and is good, but I think this is the next Anthem.
@@weemeathead I’ve been playing live service games since 2014, generally I like them. I understand people’s’ complaints against the game but the gameplay is fun and reminds me of sunset overdrive. Didn’t take the story too seriously and had fun with it
@weemeathead the builds have a lot of promise. The fights can get very challenging and fun at endgame and I don’t buy into much of the story as I think they’re joke writers telling jokes. Too many hints that they’re clones or not dead to flip out. Imagine if they had a cutscene at the end showing the JL in pods or something. Prob where they gotta go with the story I hope. If not idc I just want them to release more variety of sets and maybe this bad press means they’ll up their timetable

i mentioned on another video that whether people liked or hated knights that game had batman's death mean something as tim dick jason and barbs actually held bruce in high regard pre and post post death(evident by both the recording blooper and how they act visiting his grave). and they fought for gotham against the court of owls because not only is that what bruce would do but because regardless of that none of them would just stand by as the people of gotham suffer. they have two reasons to fight. for bruce and the city he sacrificed his mind and body to protect hundreds if not thousands of times. bruce died twice in knights and both deaths respected the character.
The plot would've made a lot more sense if they had just swapped the roles between Batman and WW.....WW is strong enough to beat Flash an GL in a1v1 fight but Batman would need help. They could've even added a backstory where he tried fighting the indoctrinated JL and lost Nightwing or Robin. Not to mention that Batman is a strategist and Brainiac doesn't need a strategist so it seems strange that he'd go after Batman and not WW. BTW you missed Bethisda in that list of game companies that are now shit.
Literally the only two characters done right in this entire game. Wonder Woman and Amanda Waller. The scene where she's trying to break through to the Flash and she does just for a brief moment. That moment 10/10 you can hear the pain in her voice when he pleads for her to kill him. Amanda Waller is as disgusting as she is badass but still has just a hint of that humanity left in when she literally gets someone else's blood on her. That moment of shock and confusion before forcing that side of herself to be hidden again. So good. Everyone else horrible. Deadshot is a blank nobody. Shark is just a worse Drax. Boomerang is just annoying start to finish and like.. potential murders multiple kids like wtf.. and Harley oh my God I'm actually pissed about what they did with her. The entire game she talks shit about the Joker and what she was like with him but.. that's not how Harley's story ended. In Knight she was still obsessed with you Joker and grieving him. She never got to have her character arc where she gets over him. At least not on screen. I loved what they did with Harley in Arkham Knight and the Arkham City seeing her grieve over the Joker the way she was is something that hadn't been done before to my knowledge and was really fun. But they ruined it and skipped all that character growth for a few cheap jokes.

Perfection. Another great video on the game that sums up what is wrong with this story. The gameplay we already know is bad, but the genera it's of looters shooters aren't bad, just not up my alley, but this is the WORST version of the genera. The story/writing is the BIGGEST sin along side the gameplay/live-service $hit.
Well, considering that most people who worked on the Batman games aren't with rocksteady anymore and the rest didn't really know what to do, especially with a live service game, it's no surprise this game is a trainwreck. Adding to that the influence of woke activists from Sweet Baby Inc. who heavily influenced the writing, it was clear even before KTJL came out, that it will be a disaster that only has one goal: pushing "the message" at all costs. Well, it cost rocksteady a pretty penny and I'd not be surprised if they have to close shop.
Long gone are the days people made games for the passion, now it's all aout money. Little do they know they'd have more money if they did something at least half decent.
And similar to AngryJoe's and Jeremy Jahn's reviews of TLOU part 2, you (and we fans) AWLAYS come up with better ways to tell the story the game originally wanted. Or just a better story in general. I've seen (forgot who) someone even give better gameplay ideas how this game could've been like Batman being active when it's night time and you have to avoid him or can stop him during missions as he's calling out positions and chase him off for a bit so the enemies are less accurate when attacking you, causing too much chaos and (like GTA, since this character is a "Space Cop" like the insulting character bio says) the Green Lantern shows up and you have to run and hide which adds to your idea of the task force X operation being covert. Wonder woman could be like a rare cool down character for missions you can call in for help and switch to until he has to go somewhere else in the city to help. How to manage the flash as a system? I don't know, but our more creative minds can think of something and then Superman is SOLEY for big story moments like stopping the nuke and the final boss. And yeah, you don't even actually have to kill them. That could be the title, but it's a comedic bait & switch, more like "kill" the justice league. And starting off you kind of have to try to out batman, batman and take him down, break the brainwashing and he ends up helping you un brainwash the rest. Instead of like Oracle's voice we hear like from the Arkham games, it's Kevin Conroy's helping us on missions. There is SOOOO much they could've done.

Now it's not one to one because Part 2 wasn't setting a season pass live-service where you kill Abby's friends over the course of seasons, but Joel's manner of death really was just to be edgy & shocking. Now you can claim it's to set up that stupid _"cycle of revenge bad m'kay"_ messaging Cuckmann loved repeating, but it's still a bad story with generic messaging that doesn't even actually ring true in reality. Revenge is awesome, you just have to be be okay dealing with any potential outcomes from it. RDR 2 does this better when John wanting revenge on Micah being the reason the Feds even find him for the plot and betrayal of RDR 1. And 1 STILL ends with you getting revenge. And Joel WASN'T seeking revenge when he killed the random NPC male surgeon that has now been retconned to be Abby's father in part 1. He just wanted Ellie. It's still a drastic choice that allowed for a GREAT debate/conversation with gamers on Joel's decision at the Firefly hospital, but part 2 wants to retcon it to be more malicious than it was or at least it's a sin that justifies Joel's horrific tortured death.

"Best batman game ever" is a title that demands perfection. Like EVERYONE involved in the project was 100% on board and willing to grind and sacrifice for a batman game with the justice league.
I agree though this game should have started more stealth focused working to take down batman to use his plans and tech to take down the other members of the league. From there the story could make more sense but either way it needs plot armor cause 19 times out of 20 the league could stomp them within a hour.
It's 100% possible to write a story with Villain(s) in the lead and have a game centered around them
Look at Prototype. You're genuinely an absolute psychopath, but the gameplay's so damn fun and Alex Mercer, while generic, does have some interesting story beats

Look at Saints Row 2

The Flash pulling out Lex's heart is also dumb because the writers must not know where the human heart is.
The blood stain is on the far left of Lex's chest, like basically at where his nipple would be.
The human heart is more so in the middle of your chest.
So idk what the game thinks Flash pulled out of Lex, but it wasn't his heart, should have been a lung or something.

Man seeing the justice league interactions before the brainwashing makes it even more depressing that we didn’t get a justice league game. The story could have been about Batman learning to trust again after Arkham knight, and end in him coming out of “hiding”publicly because despite the world knowing his identity, he’s not alone in protecting the world and his loved ones.
And if they really wanted a fight the justice league game why not use the one guy who canonically has a plan for each individual justice league member to point the suicide squad in the right direction?

Yep. It should have been a lot more for each boss fight. Like use the speed force decoupler plus boomers gauntlet, to force the point that boomer is slowing flash down, while boosting his speed, then develop a way to make an arena in extreme cold to fight him. The yellow lantern key chains somehow infuse yellow energy into guns....sure, but why not fight GL in the batcave? Fight GL in the dark, limit his movement, and fill the cave with fear toxin to disrupt his will..
i really hope that one theroy, Justice Leauge or whatever it spells is a copy
It honestly would be a better game if they were assholes at first but as they realize they kill batman and the other justice leauge members they reconsile and actually grow as characters like if harley broke down finally understanding bruce was trying to save and help her for the longest time and its only after his death that she finally breaks her psychosis

You brought up the idea of a bunch of misfits working with Batman and that basically made me think of The Outsiders. (at their first appearance anyway) they were literally a group of misfits brought together by Batman to be something of an alternative to the Justice League. That would have been a very interesting idea to use them as the people to fight the brainwashed Justice League and could give some more flexibility in temperment and powers to fight and they wouldn't have to lean on the whole "being villains" thing. But, the Suicide Squad had the movies and it had to be a live-service thrid person shooter so any creativity in gameplay and characters had to be thrown out to make the repeat paying grindy crap that people are getting more and more sick of!

It’s a shame because I actually really liked the game and even got to finite crisis rank 100, got the gold outfits, all characters max level, and great tier 3 builds; but the game’s servers are so broken I can’t even log into the game anymore. They release some updates that claim to address server issues but everyone on Reddit is complaining about the same issues. Even the people like myself that like the game can’t enjoy it because it’s broken. Hopefully the next year of content releases and is good, but I think this is the next Anthem.
I'm glad you liked the game somehow, but I hope this game is dead and removed from all storefronts by next year. This game doesn't deserve to exist.

@@weemeathead I’ve been playing live service games since 2014, generally I like them. I understand people’s’ complaints against the game but the gameplay is fun and reminds me of sunset overdrive. Didn’t take the story too seriously and had fun with it
@weemeathead the builds have a lot of promise. The fights can get very challenging and fun at endgame and I don’t buy into much of the story as I think they’re joke writers telling jokes. Too many hints that they’re clones or not dead to flip out. Imagine if they had a cutscene at the end showing the JL in pods or something. Prob where they gotta go with the story I hope. If not idc I just want them to release more variety of sets and maybe this bad press means they’ll up their timetable

i mentioned on another video that whether people liked or hated knights that game had batman's death mean something
as tim dick jason and barbs actually held bruce in high regard pre and post post death(evident by both the recording blooper and how they act visiting his grave). and they fought for gotham against the court of owls because not only is that what bruce would do but because regardless of that none of them would just stand by as the people of gotham suffer. they have two reasons to fight. for bruce and the city he sacrificed his mind and body to protect hundreds if not thousands of times. bruce died twice in knights and both deaths respected the character.
The plot would've made a lot more sense if they had just swapped the roles between Batman and WW.....WW is strong enough to beat Flash an GL in a1v1 fight but Batman would need help. They could've even added a backstory where he tried fighting the indoctrinated JL and lost Nightwing or Robin. Not to mention that Batman is a strategist and Brainiac doesn't need a strategist so it seems strange that he'd go after Batman and not WW. BTW you missed Bethisda in that list of game companies that are now shit.

Literally the only two characters done right in this entire game. Wonder Woman and Amanda Waller. The scene where she's trying to break through to the Flash and she does just for a brief moment. That moment 10/10 you can hear the pain in her voice when he pleads for her to kill him. Amanda Waller is as disgusting as she is badass but still has just a hint of that humanity left in when she literally gets someone else's blood on her. That moment of shock and confusion before forcing that side of herself to be hidden again. So good. Everyone else horrible. Deadshot is a blank nobody. Shark is just a worse Drax. Boomerang is just annoying start to finish and like.. potential murders multiple kids like wtf.. and Harley oh my God I'm actually pissed about what they did with her. The entire game she talks shit about the Joker and what she was like with him but.. that's not how Harley's story ended. In Knight she was still obsessed with you Joker and grieving him. She never got to have her character arc where she gets over him. At least not on screen. I loved what they did with Harley in Arkham Knight and the Arkham City seeing her grieve over the Joker the way she was is something that hadn't been done before to my knowledge and was really fun. But they ruined it and skipped all that character growth for a few cheap jokes.

The one where she just launches a nuke to get it over with, has cringe af dialogue, let the squad implant each other where they could have easily killed each other, rendering her plan useless, gives up in the middle of the game, and is all bark and no bite, "I'm YoUr DaDdY nOwW!!!" Personally, I think they should make a Justice League game where you play as just Batman and you give out orders like the Guardians of the Galaxy game that Square Enix did not this live service crapshoot that will die in 2 years
It's very weird how people highlight Batman's death specifically when he got more fanfare than all the other characters put together. Superman has like three lines of dialogue in the whole game.

Perfection. Another great video on the game that sums up what is wrong with this story. The gameplay we already know is bad, but the genera it's of looters shooters aren't bad, just not up my alley, but this is the WORST version of the genera. The story/writing is the BIGGEST sin along side the gameplay/live-service $hit.

Well, considering that most people who worked on the Batman games aren't with rocksteady anymore and the rest didn't really know what to do, especially with a live service game, it's no surprise this game is a trainwreck. Adding to that the influence of woke activists from Sweet Baby Inc. who heavily influenced the writing, it was clear even before KTJL came out, that it will be a disaster that only has one goal: pushing "the message" at all costs. Well, it cost rocksteady a pretty penny and I'd not be surprised if they have to close shop.

And similar to AngryJoe's and Jeremy Jahn's reviews of TLOU part 2, you (and we fans) AWLAYS come up with better ways to tell the story the game originally wanted. Or just a better story in general. I've seen (forgot who) someone even give better gameplay ideas how this game could've been like Batman being active when it's night time and you have to avoid him or can stop him during missions as he's calling out positions and chase him off for a bit so the enemies are less accurate when attacking you, causing too much chaos and (like GTA, since this character is a "Space Cop" like the insulting character bio says) the Green Lantern shows up and you have to run and hide which adds to your idea of the task force X operation being covert. Wonder woman could be like a rare cool down character for missions you can call in for help and switch to until he has to go somewhere else in the city to help. How to manage the flash as a system? I don't know, but our more creative minds can think of something and then Superman is SOLEY for big story moments like stopping the nuke and the final boss.
And yeah, you don't even actually have to kill them. That could be the title, but it's a comedic bait & switch, more like "kill" the justice league. And starting off you kind of have to try to out batman, batman and take him down, break the brainwashing and he ends up helping you un brainwash the rest. Instead of like Oracle's voice we hear like from the Arkham games, it's Kevin Conroy's helping us on missions. There is SOOOO much they could've done.
This game is trash, but let's not start pretending that Gotham Knights is some masterpiece. That game is boring and repetitive just the same.
That won't stop them from stooping lower with each passing year. Soon we'll come to the point every media is made with Idiocracy's "Ass" movie kind of standard, and consumers will have to love it, or else.

If you played all of TLOU2 and still hate Abby, you quite literally did not understand the game.
Also you can (and you did, this comment is just for people that STILL don't get it) extend the argument of Batman's death to Joel's death. Now it's not one to one because Part 2 wasn't setting a season pass live-service where you kill Abby's friends over the course of seasons, but Joel's manner of death really was just to be edgy & shocking. Now you can claim it's to set up that stupid _"cycle of revenge bad m'kay"_ messaging Cuckmann loved repeating, but it's still a bad story with generic messaging that doesn't even actually ring true in reality. Revenge is awesome, you just have to be be okay dealing with any potential outcomes from it. RDR 2 does this better when John wanting revenge on Micah being the reason the Feds even find him for the plot and betrayal of RDR 1. And 1 STILL ends with you getting revenge.
And Joel WASN'T seeking revenge when he killed the random NPC male surgeon that has now been retconned to be Abby's father in part 1. He just wanted Ellie. It's still a drastic choice that allowed for a GREAT debate/conversation with gamers on Joel's decision at the Firefly hospital, but part 2 wants to retcon it to be more malicious than it was or at least it's a sin that justifies Joel's horrific tortured death.
