- Welcome to my annual what I got my kids for Christmas video! We are fairly minimal in our gifting and try to follow the four gift rule.
FYI, I added a pack of nerf bullets, an among us grab bag, and a travel sized container of axe body spray to Carter’s stocking after the video was filmed because I felt like he had less.

Great video and beautiful job with the Pokemon binder!!! We do similar things, but with a few extra categories. We do a big gift, a want, 2 needs, an emergency item, an activity/stem item, something to read, an outdoor item, and a surprise. If they are under budget, we do extra gifts. At the beginning of December, we do a Christmas kickoff box. Everyone gets a Christmas ornament, Christmas pajamas, a Christmas decoration, a Christmas movie, a Christmas mug, and a Christmas book. We do this so we can use these items the whole month. Christmas Eve, we do a Christmas Eve box with snacks and goodies. We do stockings and a reusable overflow box for bigger items/too many items.

What an awesome mom you just made me realize all my Christmases suck but I guess the one thing I can take pleasure and knowing is that we did have each other thanks for sharing.

You made a comment on Mama to Five's channel that you made a Christmas gift video, so I thought I'd check it out! Those are some nice gifts you got for your children. My parents always spent an equal amount on both me and my sister. We did not follow the four gift rule, but always got some clothes. I'm not much of a reader anyways. I am blind, and someone I was friends with got me the bible in braille for Christmas in 2011 which I love. That's about one of the only things I read.

I have a daughter that’s bday is Jan 16th too! It really does work out great when shopping for Christmas. Just buy extra and put it back!

My 16 year olds name is gunnyr! I have been hearing it alot lately. I love it.
And we got him a oculus for Christmas. We bought ours used from a family friend.
I love the name! I am a highschool teacher and came across Gunnar while teaching a unit on Vikings and just loved it.
I go all out for Xmas as I don’t buy all year round I buy all winter clothes and pyjamas toys trainers then summer I buy all summer clothes and summer pyjamas n birthday toys tracksuit trainers

Love your videos when I was a kid Santa use to bring majority of my gifts but this did not include gifts from other people like my grandma, I have noticed in a lot of the videos that Santa doesn't really bring gifts anymore could someone please explain this to me
I do a $5-10 gift and stocking from Santa. Most gifts come from us.

Why do people say they do four categories…. When you do several in each? Defeats the purpose
Not really. My goal is a mix of useful stuff with the toys. I don’t see an issue with buying more than one book. Plus sometimes things go together, like a blanket with a foam topper, or cards with a Pokémon binder.
You get mad at your stepson for bringing a blanket to the living room? Evil stepmom vibes
The comforter is huge and takes up the whole couch leaving nowhere for the others to sit, so I prefer smaller blankets downstairs and bigger blankets left upstairs. Same for everyone.
