  • This is Part One of the two Nottingham lectures delivered on this important subject by Islamic scholar, Imran N. Hosein. Part Two will soon be uploaded. These two lectures offer a significant criticism of the current Dar al-Uloom system of higher Islamic learning. The scholar argues that today's system of higher Islamic learning has failed to produce THINKERS!

Welcome to Islam Bro,our ancient Ethiopian orthodox christians reverted to Islam ,Jesus peace upon him predicted the arrival of prophet Muhammad peace upon . John 16 "“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me.” (John 16:12-14)

    Assalaamualaykum Sheikh,
A few years ago, I was skeptical of you just like how you were skeptical before - Especially when you started to talk about dreams and their strategic importance (myself being science / engineering trained and what not). However, by Allah's will I somehow decided to humble myself and listen to what you have to say with an open mind. To my surprise, I was convinced by your arguments as they were well substantiated with evidences from the Quran and Hadith. Ever since then, I have been listening to most of your lectures and have learnt many things from you.
    Alhamdulillah. Thank you Sheikh.
On a side note, I think one of the things the general community should understand is that they may have differences in opinions with you but keep in mind that your opinions are still more qualified due to your training and credentials in your fields of expertise.

Frankly show me any Imam or Sheikh that has ever written a book let alone lectured on Jerusalem in the Quran. Doesn't exist. Sheikh Imran Hossein, I have followed you 22 years of my life, I can say your teaching of islam is unique which I have not seen come from no other scholar.... I feel truly blessed that I followed you, I clearly understand those forces we are up against, it's a shame our youth are not being taught this as this will guide an steer them in these modern times we live in, I wish to meet you once in my life, make dua for this ajnabi, this mussafir to keep blessing us with real scholars who speak of the real issues we face around us, make dua that they grow courage to speak on Riba as muslims are being misguided as they have little understanding on the subject, an I blame no one but the teachers of islam avoiding an dodging matters they know would turn muslims away from taking loans an morgages, as they are to blame that have put these muslims in chains of enslavement to the system! God bless you good health sheikh Imran Hossein and help you on fulfilling your mission, inshallah, from London residing at Islamabad a student in the shadows sheikh sahib👍

12:00 I 100% agree with what he says. I am a woman born and raised in UK, who went to school, university and is now working as a teacher, yet I agree with him fully. The role of a mother is so crucial to a child. She needs to dedicate herself to her children, and it is true, you cannot do that whilst working in a career. That is the simple fact. The world is such that, living simply is difficult, so do not blame ones like Sheikh Imran Hosein who states the truth and common sense, rather blame the ones who have made the world this way, the ones who intentionally made the world this way using tricks of feminism, corrupt education etc.

In this society when a mother has to go to work because the father does not fulfil his responsibilities such women who have no recourse to public funds who are single mothers are forced to go look for work to support their. We have lost our community spirit save a few what a mess we live in.

JUST MY THOUGHTS(ALLHU ALAM): ok here goes.
At around 105:30 shaykh talks about how in the end times, time will move faster. This whole lecture is interesting but this hit me really hard on a personal level. So here's just my thoughts:
Time will move faster and faster as people:
    1) complicate their lives more, more people they talk to, more places they have to go to do simple things that aren't necessary, more things like social media, every second of the day has something that puts your brain on auto pilot. That leads me to number 2.
    2) when they pleasurable acts that consume time and are easy on your brain it dumbs people down to a level where their brain is on auto pilot 24 hours a day, so time flies when you're having fun and people's minds will be in the state that is relaxed and having fun that time is flying all the time, kinda like if ur doing something really fun for 5 hours but the first 3 hours fly and then last 2 hours fly as well.
It's just a thought because there where points in my life where I could tell the more people I was meeting and hanging out with the more I didn't have time to think I felt my entire life would be over before I knew it and that's why this hit me on such a personal level, I just wanted to share.
    Allahu alam, I love Allah.

      www.google.com/amp/s/islamqa.info/amp/en/answers/34618
Hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari (1036) from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Hour will not begin until knowledge is taken away, earthquakes increase, time passes quickly, tribulations appear, and there is a lot of haraj, which is killing, killing, and until there will be a lot of wealth among you and it will become abundant.”
And Ahmad narrated (10560) that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Hour will not begin until time passes quickly, so a year will be like a month, and a month will be like a week, and a week will be like a day, and a day will be like an hour, and an hour will be like the burning of a braid of palm leaves.”
Ibn Katheer said: Its isnaad is (saheeh) according to the conditions of Muslim. And it was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 7422.
These two ahaadeeth indicate that one of the signs of the Hour is that time will pass more quickly.
The scholars differed concerning the meaning of the phrase taqaarub al-zamaan (time passing more quickly). There are many views, the strongest of which is:
That the phrase taqaarub al-zamaan (time passing quickly) may be interpreted literally or metaphorically.
The metaphorical meaning is that barakah (blessing) will disappear from time, which is something that started a long time ago.
This was the view favoured by al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad, al-Nawawi and al-Haafiz ibn Hajar (may Allaah have mercy on them).
Al-Nawawi said: what is meant by its becoming short is that there will be no barakah in it, and that the benefit that a person gets from one day, for example, will be the equivalent of the benefit that he used to get in a single hour.
Al-Haafiz said: The fact of the matter is that what it means is that barakah will disappear from everything, even from time. That is one of the signs that the Hour is at hand.
The metaphorical meaning also includes ease and speed of travel between distant places, so that it may be regarded as time passing more quickly. Distances that took months to cross in the past do not take more than a number of hours nowadays.
Shaykh Ibn Baaz said, in his commentary on Fath al-Baari, 2/522: the time passing quickly mentioned in the hadeeth may be interpreted in the sense of what has happened nowadays, where the distances between cities and regions have grown shorter and it takes less time to travel between them, because of the invention of planes, cars, broadcasting, etc. And Allaah knows best.
With regard to the literal meaning, that days will become shorter in a real sense, so that the hours of night and day pass quickly, this has not happened yet, but it is not something impossible. This is supported by the fact that the days of the Dajjaal will become longer so that a day will be like a year or a month or a week in length. Just as days may become longer, they may also become shorter. That will be because of the world system going out of control and the approach of the end of the world.
In al-Fath, al-Haafiz quoted Ibn Abi Jamrah as saying:
It may be that what is meant by time passing quickly is that time will literally become shorter, based on what is said in the hadeeth: “The Hour will not begin until a year is like a month.” Based on this, then the shortening of time may be understood in a literal sense, or it may be metaphorical. In the real sense it has not started yet, but it may be one of the things that will happen when the Hour is at hand. With regard to the metaphorical sense, it appeared some time ago. This is known to the religious scholars and also to those who are smart and involved in worldly affairs, for they find that none of them can do as much work as they used to do before, and they complain about that and do not know the reason for it. Perhaps that is because of the weakness of faith and the emergence of things that go against Islam in many ways. The worst of that lack of barakah is mostly manifested in provision, because the sources of provision are either completely haraam or are dubious, as is obvious to everyone, to such an extent that many people do not care where their provision comes from; wherever they can get they take it and they do not care. In fact the barakah in time, provision and agriculture can only be obtained by means of strength of faith, following Allaah’s commands and heeding His prohibitions. The proof of that is the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):
“And if the people of the towns had believed and had the Taqwa (piety), certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth”
      [al-A’raaf 7:96]
Al-Suyooti said something similar in al-Haawi li’l-Fataawi (1/44), where he said concerning the meaning of this hadeeth:
It was said that this is in fact literal, and that the hours of day and night will grow shorter when the onset of the Hour is at hand. And it was said that it is metaphorical, and that what is meant is that days will pass quickly and the barakah will be removed from all things, even from time…. And there are other opinions as well. And Allaah knows best.
There is no contradiction between these three views, that it means the removal of blessing, ease of transportation and time passing more quickly in a literal sense. There is no reason why the hadeeth should not be interpreted as meaning all of them. And Allaah knows best.
There are other opinions concerning the meaning of “time passing quickly,” but they are not as strong as the opinions quoted above. For example there is the view of al-Khattaabi, which is that life will become enjoyable. Al-Haafiz said: It means - and Allaah knows best - that this will happen at the time of the Mahdi, when security and justice prevail throughout the earth, and life will become enjoyable at that time, and people will feel that time is shorter; because people feel that times of ease are short even when they are long, and they feel that times of hardship last long, even if they are short. Then al-Haafiz said: Rather al-Khattaabi interpreted it in this manner because that this shortness of time had not yet happened in his era. But what the hadeeth refers to is happening in our time, for we see that days are passing quickly in a way that did not happen during previous times, even though there is no easy life. In fact the meaning is metaphorical and refers to the removal of barakah.
Another opinion was that of Ibn Battaal, which is that what is meant is that people will become similar to one another in their lack of religious commitment, so that there will not be anyone among them who enjoins what is good and forbids what is evil, because of the prevalence of evil and its people.
This interpretation goes against the apparent meaning of the hadeeth and is refuted by what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in another hadeeth: “The Hour will not begin until time passes more quickly so that a year will be like a month…” It is obvious that what is meant is that time itself will pass more quickly, not that people will start to resemble one another in their lack of religious commitment.
      And Allaah knows best.

I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) during the Ghazwa of Tabuk while he was sitting in a leather tent. He said, "Count six signs that indicate the approach of the Hour: my death, the conquest of Jerusalem, a plague that will afflict you (and kill you in great numbers) as the plague that afflicts sheep, the increase of wealth to such an extent that even if one is given one hundred Dinars, he will not be satisfied; then an affliction which no Arab house will escape, and then a truce between you and Bani Al-Asfar (i.e. the Byzantines) who will betray you and attack you under eighty flags. Under each flag will be twelve thousand soldiers.

And by the way me personally(Allah knows best of course)
I don't think that we're close to the dajjal because even though the world is heading in that direction I personally still don't think that.
      1) people are dumb and ignorant enough to fit the discrimination of how dumb and ignorant they have to be in the end times.
      2) we still have a chance to slow down and reverse these things just a little longer. Especially if imam imran can establish his new Muslim scholarship based on the heart not being blind, I very much agree with that.
So I believe we are close like maybe 60-500 years more before super major signs come and dajjal BUT AGAIN THIS IS JUST MY SPECULATION, ALLAH SWT KNOWS BEST, I love learning about this topic.

He has mentioned topics that are now so controversial, that if you state the truth you can be outcasted, especially about homosexuality. (Astaghfirullah, I hate even saying that word- it is disturbing). May Allah SWT protect our Ummah and our future generations.

with regards to the modern education back in high school I specialized in mathematics physics software engineering and even before i used to notice when I study in the textbooks that the material or content was extremely over subdivided making it so challenging and difficult to connect between facts learned further on even if you've managed to do so you will not gain understanding of the topics learned me I was so fortunate my father was highly skilled civil engineer with high demand at his job graduated at most respect engineering uni regionally so he basically excelled and a lots knowledge and experience in these fields in addition he could afford me private tutors as of supplementary means but any way going back to my topic of satan promises to Allah that he will obscure knowledge either by making not fully known or unknowable these plans of his would be implemented on earth by his satanic and human foot soldiers and it makes sense that today figure run world such as top elites( secret society) also in charge of the global curriculum
