True. Ive been back testing on thinkorswim and paper trading everyday. I have learned a lot and have been getting better. I also have learned discipline and I have a mentor.

A mentor once brought an analogy to me about trading that made sense. He said the marketplace is like the ocean tide, it has periods of ebb (outward/downward) and flow (inward/upward). And that if you wish to truly capture the marketplace, you must first have complete respect of its forces and not to provide pushback but instead emphasis on its movement. You have to behave like a surfer and ride the wave, but respect where its going, where it's taking you, and react accordingly.
That's what Ed Seykota said too.

After trading for 20+ years, I agree with most of the stuff, except the courses. All information is completely available for free in the internet. Of course, it is a long learning process, but almost all courses my company did analyze have only one single purpose: to increase the money of the offering company, not the one of the poor trader with an only 4-digit balance. Prove me wrong, but I can promise this will be a hard task!

From my experience there’s a period that happens mainly once or twice a year, when your chosen stock is on the upward trajectory. Then you use four to five lots of shares to ride the wave. Two lots to mainly day trade, and three lots that remain untouched within the stock.

Good video. I wish youd split the 4th rule into two just to drive it in. That is Dont Fall in Love with Your Trade and Always keep a Stop Loss and stick to it. Stop Loss should be approx. 1.5-2%. Most trading platforms have an alert system that tells you when the price rises or falls beyond a certain price. Set it and get out.
Great video! Would love to see a video with the idea of “watch this everyday before market open” so we can keep ourselves in check.
