Great video! The clamp on your JCB 310 to capture the plastic wrap is quite a work saver ans should save in the number of dismounts when feeding bales. Very smart design!
Hi,Cotland Another great video.Ben is good with shoutouts! He got me a ton. Cheers Henri
Henri's Farming Photography you still doing up the ford mate
Hi Henri's Farming Photography I didn't directly ask for a shout out, I asked if ben could share my trailock video, but I'm very grateful for his mention of my channel.
Another great video Gareth, that grab must save you a lot of time and effort with the plastic and netting, interesting video as always.
Thanks Trevor Jarvis the grab is a big time saver.
That's a handy bit of kit 👍
That was a great view of the net clamp in action on the grab, a good piece of kit for making life easier and congrats on your new subs well deserved.
Thanks cibie01 the grab is a big time saver, the channel is growing nicely.
Farm looks a good size. Maybe you could do a quick video tour of the stock housing and slurry pits?
Hi MrCa107 I'm going to do a farm tour one day.
What a handy machine no more getting out with a knife to cut open bales another interesting video 👏🏻👍🏻
MASSEY ROB cheers Rob this machine is great once you get the hang of it. Smart layland you've just bought, looks like it came from a good home.
Cotlandfarmer thanks yeah it’s in good old nick just needs a few bits to leave it right
I am surprised that you contact out your slurry spreading because I thought you were in a NVZ . Great videos, enjoy them all. Thank you.
Yeah always used a contractor for slurry, it is a job I'd like to do myself one day. No NVZ here yet but there is going to be some new legislation coming soon🤪 👍
Great video Gareth! I love my bale shear too saves me so much time everyday. I should have a video of it up soon!
Hi John Sheehy looking forward to seeing your video.
I see tanco do a shear grab version now very handy. Great video
Hi Jeff Phillips yes I've seen one and it looks a great machine.
great driving. Was wondering what website English farmers use to buy and sell second hand tractors. Here in ireland we all use donedeal and nothing else. was wondering if there is something similar in England
If you lift the boom and shake the bale shear then it should get rid of any silage in the net
Cheers Senan Keane
Great video as always. Tanco a great company 👍🏻
Thanks Aaron Lacey
Great video mate grand to see livestock farming 👍

Hi Antony farming the old wrap goes to be recycled, I have a recycling firm drop a big hook loader skit here for us to fill.
Howya Garth just wondering do you split the netwrap and the plastic when your going send the wrap away for recycling
Hi agri master no I just load it all in to a hook loader skip.

Great video and merry xmas to you

Great video
Man by the name Liam Murphy in Kilkenny Ireland invented the grab you are using , lives not far from me
Hi John T the Irish are great at building quality farm machinery.
That bale grab seems a right good tool, saves keep getting out most of the time !
Hi Josh Robinson it's a great piece of kit.
hows does the clamp work, is it when you close the shear it locks the plastic and when you open the shear fully it opens and let's the plastic out
Hi stephen gaughan your spot on that's how it works.
great video
Thank you Layton Phillips
any problems with cows pulling in bale silage. I use all bale silage and use a mchale rs4 on jcb loader
Hi Tim O'Mahony yes a few pull the silage in, and one likes to throw it over herself.
Nice video
Many thanks Johan Drost Agri Video
Your comments said that you calve in the spring. What does that do to your milk production?
Yeah we calve in a 12 week block from feb to end of April. I dry off the whole herd before Christmas and have six weeks with no milk sold off farm.
So do you have other income during period or hold on tight? 😎😎😎
No other income, I just have to manage the bank account carefully 😕
Wil it work on a silage pit as a shear grab as well ?
Not tried it, I don't think it would work but Tanco do now make a version that can cut silage blocks and split bales. 👍
Thanks
What model is that jcb at the start
Great video
Thanks AJRAlex Boss the JCB is a tm 310's model.
That JCB is some jab was in one the day
Very nice video :)
How many silage bales do you feed every day?
