As soon as I saw the subject of this video, I knew the Dan Harmon Story Circle was going to come up. You had me worried, but finally about 80% of the way through, you mentioned it. Perhaps that was the "climax" of this video. 😆😜 It was very interesting to learn about the structure and process. I'm curious if knowing more about the mechanics and the technical side of things makes it harder to just get lost in movies for you because you're identifying these different elements, or if you're able to turn that part of your brain off and just be present in the story.
Oh yeah it totally changes the way I see films- they aren’t as impactful… but it also is kind of fun because it’s like math and logic… it’s a game being like can I guess what’s gonna happen… And when it’s done well, it can’t help but be felt viscerally… but it does change things haha
