Land Cruiser 70 series is one of the greatest creations in the world of vehicles.
Reliability, durability, simplicity, easy to maintain and timeless design, which are not found in today's vehicles, are more important than electronic devices and features. Its V8 engine and manual gearbox make this vehicle even more lovable. And the exhaust makes some of the best music I've ever heard. People who know the value of LC 70 series know that they can go anywhere without any problem.
The worst thing about it is that it's not for sale in the United States.
Best engine was 1HZ 4.2 l. non-turbo diesel.

@@va13ra The best engine not was, the best engine i s 1HZ 4,2 l Diesel without Turbo. I am driving this one in a75 from 1992 and after a 78 from 2008. Crossing over 30 jears the Saharadesert, never i had problems. Believe me, the tracks there are very hard and dangerous.

I love watching Japanese production lines, no chit chat, everyone wears a uniform and no one is chewing gum. They all seem to concentrate and take their work seriously, not just slapping parts together. It’s sort of odd to think that my car went down that production line and if you own a Land Cruiser so did yours as there is only one Land Cruiser factory in the world.

No wonder the 70 Series are so expensive - they are practically hand built! I must admit I am a bit surprised that even the spot welds are done by hand.
I was thinking the same thing. Very surprising, based on the manufacturing method the 70 series comes across as good value compared to the 300. But as a 76 owner, I would still appreciate the comfort and ease of driving for long trips, of the 300 or 200.

Now I see why the 70s are pricey but have limited tech and luxuries. They're put together by hand.
I was shocked, I cant believe it. I thought all the chassis was assembled by robots.....
And they last forever ♾️ quality is job one
@@darknessislight3689 They are really well build and durable but they do rust quite extensively in certain climate zones.
I have a lot of rust fixing to do on my 1989 BJ70. 🙄
No wonder they are reliable

Si vous habite en France, aucune raison d'avoir une Land Cruiser. Biensur ca n'empeche pas de rever :). Sans vouloir de creer de jalousie...J'ai une Land Cruiser 76 serie, mais j'habite en Australie.

Toyota should offer the options of 5 or 7 seaters. For us who just want more cargo space would prefer the 5 seaters. Also the current 300 series look very unappealing. Would have prefer the 200 series look.

The reason why those 70 series are handbuild is due simply cause toyota can't market this to wide global market only very few and spesific markets/ buyers that constantly bought so compared to the 300 rather than investing in robots or reprogramming robots its skmply cheaper and more flexible to produce them by hand
That is better placed machine at the rear
If its made in japan the quality is assured
