I grew up loving everything Aussie. I applied for citizenship after graduating college about 10 yrs ago. I failed the test...lol. Scored like 38 and needed 40 or something. They factor in age, marital status, occupation, etc. So I moved on with my life. but I wonder sometimes where or how I would be had I moved there.
I pray that Australia never becomes a republic. I hope the Commonwealth will become more closely integrated and we will all work together as equal partners in a world that is always changing.

As a proud Englishman, I love Australia as our commonwealth brothers, so, I have to ask - why has no one noticed that the last image in this video is of the New Zealand Naval Jack? That's pretty lax, if you ask me. A great nation like Oz deserves better - I have great esteem for both of our antipodean relations, and I think it's a poor show that they are being 'lumped together' by ignorance.
I like Australia's national anthem because it is up lifting, but I have yet to hear anything as amazing as the stars spangled banner. As much as I hate the French they have an amazing national anthem and a close second place compared to the U.S. for me.
Unlike the French Canadians,we don't have the French wanting a change in the flag,keep the Union Jack there,that is where most of our ancestors are from,Great Britain.When your Father dies,would you want to disown him if he moves to another country?Keep your family roots,it is on the flag!Also,in future wars if any country would attack Australia,the UK and USA would be there.And i think anything British on any flag would deter any foreign invasion!KEEP THE AUSTRALIAN FLAG!
