- City's 15-match unbeaten run was ended in added time by a smash-and-grab Tottenham at the Etihad.
The visitors, playing almost exclusively on the counter-attack, struck early on and though Ilkay Gundogan equalised before half-time, went ahead again after the break through Harry Kane.
But in a frantic finish, a penalty by Riyad Mahrez in the 92nd minute of the game looked to have rescued a point for City, only for Kane to dramatically add another three minutes later - the goal that settled the contest 3-2 in Tottenham's favour.

Spurs fan here. I'm pleased about the general tone of comments on here from both sides. Why? Because I have been a season ticket holder at "the lane" since the early 80's. When you lads came down we'd often drink in the same pubs and it was always friendly. We had in common that both we lived a bit in our neighbor's shadow during the 90's but still supported our teams despite their up's and downs I'm pleased City have done well and hope we can do the same whilst not forgetting where we came from. All the best.

Tottenham Hotspur seem to always find acway against Man city and both Son and Kane...especially Son. How man wins against Man city is it now??
A lot of talk of Spurs counter attack. The counter is always a threat but what Spurs did was fast attacks, not counter attacks. Man City set up so high up the pitch that even when starting with 11 men behind the ball if you play fast with quality passes you can get in behind quickly. It looks like a counter but it's actually fast precise attacking play. The play leading up to the save from Ederson from Kane inside the box demonstrates it superbly. One touch passing up the pitch all the way into the box. Spurs defended really well, as you have to against a top City team but also had the quality to keep the ball and move it quickly with threat. Great Performance from Spurs and something I'm sure Pep will learn from. City will probably go and win their next ten games so fair play to them.

None of our goals came from counter attacks, Spurs played the ball from the back at brought it forward quickly, it was like Man City had lost the ball and weren't in shape.
Sours were just concise with their passing and movement.
They weren't from counterattacks in the sense that it wasn't City losing possession. However, counterattacking goals happen because one team is deep in the opponent's half, loses the ball, and is not in a settled shape. For all intents and purposes, the goals were from counterattacks. City's defending was appalling.

Our high-line and high-possession on this occasion didn't work...and we were punished 3 times for it. Our back-line was sliced-open. However...I can't pick holes in Tottenham's game, they know how to play us via a strong counter-style...Fair play on the day. We're still 6 points in front...and I reckon we can retain back-to-back's again, only it'll be close...It'll probably go down to Goal Average....
