The power cables (and previously discussed Octoquad speaker cables) are exclusively sold through dealers by BJC. I'm able to sell these and you can inquire via my website - audiophilejunkie.com/blue-jeans-cable/

Thanks again! I hope I explained that well enough. I learned a lot in helping develop this product, even after 20 years there's a lot more to uncover.

Excellent Zoom Jason, yeah, this stuff is important, and in a highly resolving audio system, it is Audible.🎧

That's weird...maybe because you are a member and the link was different. The video is public so all you need to do is give them my channel name and they should see it.

Are all the components made in the US?

    • @bluejeanscable7214

The cable stock is made in the USA, the connectors are made in Indonesia to our specification. I am in talks with some US connector manufacturers to see if we can bring some of that in eventually, but custom connector work is expensive and takes a long time to prototype so I try to work with what I already have access to initially.

I wish there was some information on the construction of the cable, wire type, and so forth. So far I have not seen this.

We talk about the insulation and connections last video. I'll have more parts of this zoom where we talk about more and even aesthetics, but I wouldn't expect a DIY guide although we actually discuss BJC doing that in the future on my channel for non-power cords that are risky to DIY.

We use USA manufactured ETP high strand copper cable stock, UL rated at 300V. Insulation material is EPDM (discussed in previous video). Connectors are custom manufactured for us to our specifications- there are some similarities to wattgate as far as the connector bodies (because we like those) but the back shell is completely different. I hand build each and every assembly in our shop in Seattle, testing for arc potential with a Slaughter 2503 set a 6000V DC. Happy to answer any other questions you may have.

You don´t talk about simple ohmic law, why?
The big gauge is necessary IN your amplifier at the DC supply and the rectifying diodes with this massive current spikes, regarding "linear" supplies. Make measurements and they´ll show you exactly what´s happen. Dissapointed, that again you´re only talking and don´t showing experimentation with test results!
Well, this video is talking about power cables more accurately: czcams.com/video/Q9Y3r8CqXlc/video.html

Jeff has tests of the various insulation used and what specific thing said in the video do you disagree with?
