Please send prayers. Opening the Bible this afternoon, I turned to Ecclesiastes 8 and it hit me so powerfully I had to come to this study. Thank you all. Praise Jesus

God knows my heart. And I’ve been searching to be happy, and feel so low at times. Wondering why I’m left here, after my husband died and then my son within a month after him. I feel as I was either left for dead And to suffer. Although I didn’t die, after all I had put myself through, so then there was suffering, reaping what I sowed.
But then have realized that God loves me so much, that maybe that’s what needed to happen to bring me to him.
Each day is different. I can at time and most times still laugh and be happy, find happiness in materials. But some mornings feel like why? Why God what am I here for.
I have so many things to be grateful for. I could stay all day and list them.
My ultimate happiness will come when I get to be with the lord and see my son, and be with those I’ve lost and know that they were ok this whole time. It was me that needed to learn. Learn how to treat people and walk with God.
Thank you lord in Jesus name!

Mary S. I get what he is trying to say about the space program, however I would disagree. The universe shows the glory of God's creation, and exploring it is a beautiful and educational experience.

Yes, I looked you up, lol. I see you are close by to another favorite preacher of mine, Mark Hitchcock, in Edmund OK. I'm from the Chicago area, I should take a trip out and go to your church, then to Dr. Hitchcock's church sometime, lol. Thank you, and I"m using your channel for teaching. I never thought I would understand Ecclesiastes, but you are teaching it wonderfully. Thank you for that.

I'm having a hard time with 1:8 because i have a french version and the verse reads : "no one can say that the eyes have not seen enough or what the ears have heard enough." And, to me, this makes more sense because Solomon is saying that there will never be something new to see because everything is the same. What Mike presents here is basically saying that the eyes and ears will always stay curious to its surrounding which is contrary to what the author is trying to convey. Can someone help me? Am i wrong ?

First of all, am not an atheist and neither am trying to sound like an intelligent person nor I wanna be an arrogant, genuinely speaking, I always have more doubts on my mind whenever I think about the God or whenever I listen to a preacher talking about God's greatness and those doubts usually are
Is the God selfish? With that being said, he created everything a man needs to live his life on the earth, yet he did not create the so-called eternal Joy and happiness, Why?
Why he let the people to perceive eternal happiness only when they prey to him?
Why he need to create humans at all? -as he apparently knew being a human on earth is much tougher than being a God.
Why the God just can't change everyone's mind overnight? --given that he has all the power, so when the people woke-up next morning, they will be better persons for the rest of their lives.
finally, what made a person to feel an eternal joy when he pray to the God? Because he has never physically seen the God, he never will, besides than the mental model he created on his own, so what make him to feel an eternal joy?
is it literally like, falling in love with your delusional character? , so unlike other materials which you could get(with a certain effort) , you can't get away with your delusions or fantasies, the more you think about it the more you get pulled in it, but you keep thinking about them anyway...

    • @bibletalktv
      @bibletalktv  Před 5 lety +2

The difference between delusion, fantasy and God is that delusion and fantasy are products of your mind. One is born out of confusion and the other imagination. Belief in God, however, is based on observation, logic and historical revelation. No delusions or fantasies have survived 2000 years of examination and criticism like the Bible (God’s word) has. Of course many people have fantasies and delusions about God but that is usually because they have not read or studied His word.

my advice for you is to ask God about all these questions/doubts you have about Him by praying in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and He will give you answers and hopefully end your confusions but you have to trust in Him first. God normally talks through the bible so I suggest you get one but before you read it pray to Him to lead you to what He wants to talk to you about and then ask Him for understanding for what you're about to read and wisdom.
I must say , I was like you once , maybe worse, I hated God and hated the bible worse because I believed that it was just one of the control tools in this world. then I started to read it, no I didn't read it because of a pastor ,I just got curious and read it. through all of this I found my answers ,still reading to get others but what I have discovered is that God really loves us and its us who just walk away from Him , you have to allow Him to work through you or with you because you have to will it, he doesn't like slaves or want you to feel like you're a slave ,thats why he lets everyone do what they like .
