Nah, Eric Andre is a big Conan fan. He took a lot of inspiration from "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" the Eric Andre show is basically Late Night turned up to 11 with a serious ADHD problem

Fun fact: In a tribute article to Conan, Eric Andre noted him as his main comedic influence. From his spontaneous comedy to his random nonsense skits, it left a massive impression on him. He said it was Conan that began the new form of late night talk and comedy.
I can see the inspiration in his show
If that's true, then we have Letterman and Johnny Carson to blame for the creation of Eric Andre. They were the main inspiration for Conan and its where he got many of the good ideas for his show.

One of the unwritten rules of being a late night host is, you always are the last one to sit if. If you notice, Conan randomly jumped up like he was going to stand backup and then sat back down to be the last one. Very interesting.
Today I learnt. That really cool.
Pretty cool, I thought he was just following the "You, stand!" gag of Eric to the audience. On a closer look, yeah, he wanted Eric to see he's just about to sit.
Idk man, its very old rule of ethiquette which is that you should stand up if you are greeting somebody as a sign of respect - so this may be the case.
Look up the whole saga Conan has about this with Colbert.
