As a former civil war reenactor we used it in the field, as an abrasive, to shine up our brass buttons to and clean our muskets and bayonets.
It’s an all around good polishing agent for all types of glass. Good for windshields on your car to help your windshield wipers slide smoothe
by accident i found it cleaned my silverware beautifully without scrubbing hard, was astonished how spoons forks ect would shine after a light rub down of ash
Planning on using ash on my lawn this spring.
When I was a kid we would mix it with the leaves and grass clippings to help speed up the composting the carbon that you add with the ash makes it compost faster in colder temps
And making gun powder . Ash (carbon), Sulphur and potassium nitrate.
Great video! Ashes are good for smells outdoors - cover dead animals. That helps prevent predators from digging them up as well - which is nice if you have buried a pet.
That’s a great idea
It works great for cleaning glass cooktops, better than baking soda and vinegar.
On ice in winter instead of sand. Under car tire spinning on ice or snow like cat liter or sand

Hey there - thanks for the comment, and yeah, I admit. I've been a bit less active on CZcams recently. I do have a couple more videos in the pipeline though. Do you have any favorite videos from the channel so far?
Cover the bottom of the cat litter box...keeps the smells down....
Cat litter
I watched a guy brush his teeth with wood ash. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it, that guy is crazy, but he does have white teeth.
I gotta tell you, this is one of my all time favorite comments. Not sure if you were trying to be funny, or just telling the story, but I got a kick out of it. Cheers.
I watched a video of a young Asian woman just talking about her life. She mentioned that she used ash to brush her teach. I’m assuming her breath smelled like smoke. I use is to scatter on ice around in the winter. I enjoy your videos especially on tree identification.
