Excellent review, what about its use with sensitive IEMs? Low impedance, since the DAP's specifications indicate 6.6 ohm and its balanced output
And how can I change the battery?
There are no screw to open the device. I believe everything is glued. If the capacity of the battery is very low I can only send the device back to the manufacturer to replace the batty and that will be very expensive. So after 3 Years operation I have another electronic waste. Other DAP, like iBasso DX 260 and also Astell&Kern, have the option to replaced the battery.
I have just sold my ibasso dx260 and bought the shanling M5 ultra, the 260 produces the best sound quality i have ever heard....however.....its so revealing that bad recordings sound really bad, i have 1000s of cassette recordings that i have converted in 320 kbps, however alot of the sound quality had degraded on alot of the cassettes, this isnt a problem with a warm sounding dap as the thickness and smoothness hides the bad recording, but you can even hear crackling sounds from the recordings and humming from the amp due to the ultra neutral sound, i think they went to far with the 260 in terms of neutrality, but dynamics, imaging bass quantity are the best ive ever heard, the sound stage is just rediculous

I have a Hiby R3 II whose sound I already find excellent but the software is very rudimentary and often crashes. Also, the Bluetooth disconnects at the end of each song from my AirPods Pro 2 and I'm going crazy. I would like to change player, but I don't know if this M5 is able to catalog the over 23,000 tracks between mp3 and flac that I have in a 256GB SD. Will it be able to manage them by Artist, Title, Album, Genre, even well edited with complete Audio Tags, in such a high number?

For the price this holds its own. Kann Ultra has more power, more expansive sound stage.

How would this compare with something like Mojo 2 for HD600?
Sorry I have not experienced the Mojo2 but was very impressed with this.

You can not install any apk. Only tidal is available to stream. It is not android based
