Why is Rosanne ALWAYS telling Maureen business đđđsheâs funny as $hit tho đ
Ikr shes so funny
I was dyingggg she said animal noises
She did it on camera it looked like đ©đ why are they recording in the room at night?!?!
As soon as I read your comment all I heard was "Maureen been stealing her grandma phone"đđđ€Łđ€Ł
Omg I know she's hilarious đ
Rosanna needs to do some standup comedy, she's a natural.
hell yeah....
Ikrr
Yeahđ I agree very funny I would definitely chill with her because sheâs so down to earth
@@styphlynne8253 good luck for your recovery. If you feel like I've made up a playlist of Bill Hader's video, I find him very sweet and I watch him playing to relieve stress
Right, she has such a dry sense of humor, it's great.
i donât think they were making fun, they were just genuinely clueless and curious about these girls lives. they seemed quite friendly and patient, maybe just not a perfect match as friends!
Definitely agree
this makes me worried about the friends you have, no offence...
Exactly! I would be just as curious if I was those people too. I can see how she was picking up that it could be rude because of the way they were talking about it because they were SO clueless. they just had no clue about Amish people at all. most people know about Amish people and usually know somewhat about their culture.
but these people kind of just seemed completely stupid not gonna lie.
Yeah I get it.
I agree with Maureen and Rosanna tbh. They were being a little too disingenuous with the questions IMO. The ginger girl was actually really kind and she was explaining everything in a way that didn't make it patroniszing
âThey are making fun if usâ they were so sweet and patient đ„Č
That's what I thought. She might have felt insecure about her own education and was projecting that onto them.
They are not English, so maybe your not quite as bright as you wish you were.
Might be edited to make them seem nice
@@user-qn6fe1ep9z I am an English person, can you or would you enlighten me why Amish people call Americans English?
@@torashwells4378 I believe the Amish came to the US from Germany/Switzerland so their language is similar to German (called Pennsylvania Dutch, coming from the word Deutsch meaning German as opposed to Dutch meaning from the Netherlands - they are both from the same language family anyway!|). They consider other Americans as English regardless of ethnicity as that is the main language for non-Amish Americans
For anyone curious: In the bikini episode, Rosanna talks about how she tried calling and texting these people and they donât reply or answer and have completely ghosted her. So sure, it might have looked like they were being nice, but you can definitely see how fake and condescending they actually were.
And Iâm not saying that you should be forced to be friends with people you donât want to be, but if they really did just ghost them, thatâs not the proper way to break connections either
exactly
!!!
I just finished watching that clip and these people are definitely making fun and it's pissing me off.
That is beyond horrible!
Yeah.
Also, they might not be making fun of her intentionally, but it definitely looked bad when they kept bombarding them with questions about Amish culture as if they were on display in a zoo, rather than getting to know them as individuals.
I understand they were being curious and don't blame them, but I know exactly how the Amish girls felt at that point.
The South America part could have been better handled like this:
"Oh, let me show you!" ** pulls out a phone with maps "It's right over here!" would have been my style.
Some tv shows make the people theyâre filming turn in their phone before they start filming. This may have been the reason no one did. Basically to get anything from a show or episode from leaking into the public before it goes on air.
@@sarahrojo3402 Thanks for that insight! I never thought about that
@@oriona8648 no problem!
It could have also been a little bit of a shock. Not knowing where Ecuador is isn't too surprising, not knowing where a whole continent is is another thing entirely.
also maybe they wouldnt do that bc they said they cant have a phone
rosanna hiding under the covers has me cracking up, sheâs too funny
Rosanna is fkn hilarious without even trying đđđđđ I'd die of laughter if I was her friend đ
I donât think they were making fun of them at all, they were being super patient and sweet
If anything, I think there was a little awkwardness and culture shock on both sides
yeah i agree, iâm pretty sure they were all just shocked and it was awkward
I disagree, if you watch there latest video where they go shopping for swimsuits, Rosanna admits that the group of 'friends' have ghosted her. Like they've tried ringing and texting them but theres no answer. I think they were just a really fake group of people who didnt like the girls from the beggining.
@@jametria ig but if they found them both so awkward why did they offer to hang out again just to ghost them
@@igglepiggle2636 bc thatâs how people are??âŠ

Duh it's a show.. Most likely he was told she likes him.. Ding dong
@@juellzzdrizzy she said she liked him

I know that has me cackling
I love how they refer everyone as English
Maureen literally just knew they energy off bat lol i feel so sorry for them bcuz they are so sweet and those ppl just ghosted them after they tried many times to keep in contactđ
The girl with the red hair and glasses is awesome! She handled the South America explanation better and gave details about sushi. Also by the looks of these clips, she didnât bombard them
"but they do behind the curtains"- Im like Rosanne be a comediannn
âAmish arenât allowed to hug, but Maureens not afraid to have phone sex with Dannyâ
Oh my god, she is too funny! Poor girl having to hear someone having phone sex let alone her(Iâm assuming) sister! For god sake, bleh! Wonder if they were having Yiddish phone sex or English lol.
theyre friends not sisters but yes lmao!
They donât speak Yiddish, thatâs Judaism. They speak Pennsylvania Dutch.
@M M itâs a version of German that Old Order Amish and some Mennonites speak, since they immigrated from there in the 17th and 18th centuries
Yiddish haha đ€Ł i understand that it could be confused though since yiddisch is close to German too (which i speak both)
Yiddish?
Im with maureen tho, they did seem to be standoffish and belittling when they talked about their education levels. The type of college student that demeans community college students vibe
they exchanged numbers and they ghosted Maureen and Rosanna.
@@foureyedcai that's why I think they were actually making fun of them. I get the culture shock, but it doesn't mean you get to demene somone else for their schooling, and personal experience.
i think they asked because of Maureen's attitude because she just said she was a teacher, she was like such a ego when saying that
@@Melissa-ek7dw i was literally asking that myself. Sheâs a whole teacher but just to 8th grade? Iâm curious of HOW?
@@foureyedcai is that part shown on this video?
they should've got some California rolls to ease them into eating sushi. sashimi is NOT a good kind to start off with lol
yeah i was thinking the same thing. it seemed like the group didnt consider rosanna or maureen at all when picking which sushi to order. they could've even done like an avocado or cucumber roll, something simple.
@@carolinehartig3977 would maki also work?
"rosanna: i-i think maureen was having phone ĆĄĂ«x with daniel.........." THAT FREAKING KILLED ME BAHAHAH
HAHAHAHAHA YES GOD BLESS YOU
I donât think they were making fun of The girls. I think they were nervous and curious and enjoyed talking with them. I also feel like they probably thought the naivety was cute. They are child like in the fact that they are experiencing so many new things that we just think are normal. These girls are cute and funny and itâs fun to watch their journey
I disagree, if you watch their latest episode, Rosanna admits that the group of 'friends' have ghosted them both. Like Rosanna has tried ringing and texting but they wont answer. Maureen was right to begin with. They just werent very nice people and were fake.
@@igglepiggle2636 lol, i've seen you comment the same thing three times but yeah i do agree with you. it did kinda seem like they were making fun of them though but trying to make it less obvious idk
@@Iuvmeg lol yeah i commented the same thing a bunch of times, yeah they did it in a really sly way where they tried to make it not as obvious they were making fun. Like every time maureen or rosanna would say anything they all would stare at eachother thinking that the girls wouldnt notice.
Of course they were making fun of them. What kind of "friends" you must have or what does it tell about you not to tell the difference?
They're college liberals - their whole identity is looking down on country people and the "uneducated". And the Amish are as country as it gets.
Rosanna seems to be somebody slightly introverted, and I feel like she needs a huge hug just all the time, and Maureen seems like the person who is protecting and watching over her, making sure she is okay, and I'm in love!
Lots of people go through 12th grade public school and still don't know basic geography and other basic things so don't feel bad. I live in michigan and met someone else from the same state and they didn't know what the mackinaw bridge was.
Mackinac* lol
@@7EMPEST_ guess I should go back to school too lol
Yea I can't spell
Itâs ok you donât gotta comfort them doubt they even see the comments đ
Yea but do you know how create your own flour and baking it to create your own bread without googling it do you know how to cans your food to conserve it can you transform milk in butter do you know how to grow your food are you able to build your own house your own barn your chair your own table how to work the wood they might not know where is south america but they know what they eat we go buy all those things at the grocery but we don't know what we really eat but we know where is south america ..
I think the north & South America comment couldâve been explained better, because it did seem a little condescending, but other than that, I loved this interaction. I love cultural exchange. This truly was that. Kudos to those people for taking the time to get to know Amish people.
I get what you mean. I think sometimes it does get really hard not to judge especially when it's knowlege that for many isn't even considered knowlege but common sense.
It could have easly been americans who arn't amish though who didn't know the answer and that would be considered ignorance by many.
Honestly I think she was just embarrassed that she didn't know, especially after bragging about being a school teacher. They didn't say anything condescending and were actually really nice and did their best to explain.
How many ways can you really explain south America is south of north America?
They were not making fun of them they are just curious as much as they are
On another episode Rosa said they ignored them after this and never called / answered their calls after this :( they were making fun of them
Yea I agree also them not calling later doesnât mean anything sometimes people just donât click personally though Iâd want to befriend them and be apart of their journey they seem so sweet and deserve more out of life than what they had been exposed to
I will say tho why not start with cooked sushi to wean them into it
maybe Amish girls may seem a little weird in their lifestyle, but it seems to me that these "regular" American girls and boys are way stranger with their questions.
I used to hangout with the Amish kids on the farm as I grew neighboring their community. They arenât stupid by any means , they are just taught a different world view.
To some being Amish is just what they know and most communities provide jobs and some even inherit businesses. Many of them have more money than you think
What would you call cheering a god for murdering 70 000 men because of a census, intelligent?
Iâm honestly glad the girls have each other for everything. All of their new experiences
I had no idea maureen was a school teacher! Thatâs awesome. I cant stop watching clips of her and rosanna i love them both so much đ

Also thier 8th grade may be very different from ours.
@@babu357 I believe itâs a lot different going to a public school in the US would be different for sure, because your not supposed to enforce religious beliefs in public school they teach you strictly off science while, other schools can promise to teach your child religious practices or read from the Bible. Roseanna is so friendly and open minded â€ïž
I think the girls started feeling more comfortable with their new friends as they spent more time with them. Itâs so much fun to watch them experience everything new.
Stop snitching girl đ
Rosanna is so unironically hilarious
"She was making noises from the barn " đ€Łđ€Ł whaaaaaat
They all seem like they had a good vibe shame they ghosted them. I would totally hang out with them especially Rosanna , she has great charisma and is naturally funny.
Rosanna is so naturally funny
I know a lot of people were saying they were nice but for first time meet up I donât think they should have been asking so many questions the first day. I just think they could have been more patient with them maybe even done research before hanging out . I do know they ghosted them after this which wasnât very nice at all . They are such sweet girls .
Exactly what i thought the vibe was off
exactly it overwhelmed them and it made them feel even more like "other" and the ghosting will lead to a lot of confusion and overthinking :((
I donât think they were making fun of them but I think they just laughed because itâs kind of an awkward situation
"Are you guys not allowed to get mirrors?" it really sounded like an insult
Honestly, I really don't think the friends were trying to offend them. It's the new generations first reaction to laugh at a feeling of discomfort. To us we feel it diffuses the situation, like say for instance I fail a class at uni and I tell my friends as much, laughing about it doesn't seem to be too off from what would likely occur. Its a thing of nerves I think. You don't know which questions might be offensive but you're also walking the line of trying to understand the person across from you. I think the friends could have been more aware of the situation when the girl started to get a bit defensive, but it all chalks down to different culture of interaction
Not a new generation thing. I do the same thing and I'm 55. lol
I grew up in a very rural part of Tennessee until I was 8 years old. Then I moved to Southern California. The big shock for me is kids used sarcasm and so did other people and I had no previous exposure to sarcasm. People were very straight forward where I came from In Tennessee and sarcasm just wasnât a thing there. When kids would be sarcastic as a joke, my closest friends would try to tell me âokay say something back to them!â I was totally out of my element
Definitely not a new generation thing.
I don't think they're Floridians tbh. These people have to be from California or somewhere west because their whole demeanor is just nasty. People are friendlier here in Florida especially in a place like Sarasota.
Ive noticed this the laughing all the time with the younger generations. Yes older people nervously laugh but it's more common with younger people. It's annoying af tbh
Rosanna is so iconic đ
Roseanne is so GOD DAMN HILARIOUS đđđâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
I just want to hug them they are the most precious girls!
I think the girl in the red shirt composed her self and tried to explain what sushiâs was and not laughing

The funniest video I have ever seen. Rosanna talking about what she heard had me laughing hysterical.
I wanna be Rosannas friend so badly! She so funny!
Me too!!!! Both of them are a hoot!
Theyâre right about sashimi, I never understood why people enjoy raw fishđ€ąđ€ź
I felt that way before I tried it. Now I love it.
Im a sushi lover and I tried raw fish for the first time and I almost puked. I have never eaten raw fish ever since
@@stevengrant379 But sushi is raw fish...?

This is way more wholesome than the title implies â€ïž
The English people are just curious and want to know more about you guys
I didnât get the vibe they were making fun of them it just seemed they were curious. Maureen is always so defensive and Roseanna is the complete opposite lmao when that dude yelled ânice dressâ at her and she thought he was really telling her he liked her dress đ

đ
I just love Maureenâs spunk & sass!
âwhats your name? âmine is rosannaâ âsolidâ

iâve been watching clips all morning and iâve grown to love em
I have to agree and disagree the questions they were asking them made them sound like they canât do anything at all but hey did sound like they were having fun in the end
Rosanne is so funny! đ
It's a good rule of thumb to avoid interrogating someone about personal details (eg. what grade they got through in school), especially if you're going to let it lead to an awkward judgemental silence. Just ask open-ended questions line, "What was your favorite new experience so far?" or "Is there anything English that you're looking forward to trying?"
And honestly, it sounded like Javier didn't know where Ecuador was, ether. "Uh, it's somewhere south of here" is the answer most Americans would give. It's not necessary to ask whether Rosanna has seen a globe before; that was an insulting question that accomplished nothing.
I would've said, "Shit I don't know exactly where Ecuador is either" (because I don't), and turned the conversation back to Javier and asked him to explain to me where it was, and what cultural differences they have there, etc. These two Amish girls shouldn't be the only one being bombarded with questions that put them on the spot. Let Javier take a turn sweating it out for a bit.
Judgemental much?
Itâs funny that two Amish girls are willing to try sushi and my mom flat out refuses
Maureen and Rosanna I love watching your videos and seeing how the English are trying to figure out things about the Amish community. I don't know if they were meaning to make you feel stupid, but most of us also know nothing about the Amish except what we've heard or seen on tv. But it's just great that you're learning about each other!đđđđ
Daniel so smooth w that number DAMN
"Where is South America?" is why education is so important, particularly in xenophobic communities.
Honestly just the pace they talk was off to me Americans speak slower in fact too slow but her words seems less fluent as if she was thinking on what to say. Yet for them to be condescending towards her is really lame.
