"Humans Will Be a Single Gender in Paradise" | Bizarre Current JW Teachings #1

  • Jehovah's Witnesses teach that humans will all become a single nonbinary gender after Armageddon. This is the first in a series checking out actual, current Jehovah's Witness teachings that are...not well known, to say the least. :D Note: Hopefully, it's clear that the problem with this theology is not that people would be nonbinary. Rather, it's (1) Jehovah's Witnesses teach that a "loving" God will, in effect, forcibly/surgically choose a gender for everyone, and (2) the concept that there is a "correct" gender.

      Oh thank you, great point! I wish I'd remembered that gem. I just looked at the current marriage talk outline, now they say "for as long as we both shall live together on earth according to God’s marital arrangement." So knowing the history, you can still see it peeking through in the vows.

    Your commentary was absolutely hilarious. "Was Adam like a Ken doll?" "Who knows?" "What was Adam and Eve doing in all that spare time?" When you try to reason out the idiotic explanations that the JW organization doles out concerning how life in the new order would be the whole thing becomes ludicrous. I can just see a resurrected man exclaiming "What happened to my penis?" If there will eventually be no need for sex in the new order after the world population reaches up to the set limit will there still be women with female traits and men with masculine traits? If the new order humans will be made sterile with no need for marriage will god then allow recreational sex? Perhaps their sex organs will vanish. If humans in the new order will no longer have any sexual urges or desires and will not have any interest in things like science or exploration then all humans will in effect become sexless drones whose sole purpose for existence will be for gardening the planet and worshiping god and that would be for all eternity. Is that like heaven? I don't think so.

      @@disassociated1731 L'organisation a-t-elle eu ou non, des origines maçonniques ? C'est la question que je me pose. Car si c'est le cas, cela expliquerait bien des choses, notamment, sur certains points de doctrine et des « ghost teachings » dont on ne parle plus dans les publications, enseignements qu'on escamote complètement désormais, en ayant eu soin de retirer de la circulation les ouvrages en question, et même, toute trace minime de ces enseignements, dans la Bibliothèque en ligne de la Watchtower. La doctrine des éclaircissements progressifs de la lumière qui va en s'accroissant, tiré d'un verset de la Bible, duquel la signification première est sortie de son contexte, ressemble étrangement à s'y méprendre, à la Philosophie des Lumières qui prônait le perfectionnement infini de l'Homme. Or, ce perfectionnement infini, est justement celui de la Franc-Maçonnerie et des Sciences en général.
      Notez que sur la couverture de l'édition de la Tour de Garde d'avril 2020 ( ou est-ce 2021 ? je ne l'ai pas sous la main, mais je m'en souviens de mémoire ), une vieille photo de J. Rutherford qui date des années 1920 y apparaît, le montrant dans une posture typiquement maçonnique. Great research, great video, Phil. Just to clarify, English words change over (over-)lapping generations. So in the 1930s, when the Watchtower says that “Adam was bi-sexual”, it meant that Adam had the characteristics of both sexes, whereas in this generation, saying someone is bi-sexual means they are attracted to both sexes.

      @johnryan1798 Před 3 lety

      Overlapping generations is confusing but, let me try to clear it up to see if Stephen Lett was correct in saying 'we are in the final part of the last of the last days'.
      Which 'generation' did Xi Jinping have in mind when he told his people in China to 'have it in their mind to be at war with the United States at any moment'?
      Since nothing happed in 1975, did that stop China from building the largest army the world has ever seen? And, the worlds largest navy? Perhaps when you see the escalation of battleships out in the South China sea, as China is getting ready to invade Taiwan, you get a clearer understanding of the meaning of generation.

    I really think that people who hope for 'eternal life' do not appreciate that it would be like a completely alien life. You already described what would have to happen with sexual attraction, which is a hugely important important in ordinary human life as we know it, i.e. finite lives centered on procreation.
    Another thing is that everything we do as humans runs along a 'story arc' of a beginning, climax and end point, whether it's school, job/career, having a family,... That would all go away. No story arcs anymore, just one very, very, very long uniform sequence of days.
    I also think that people would no longer enjoy enjoyable activites in the same way. That 'once-in-a-lifetime' trip to Hawaii won't be so special anymore if you can go to Hawaii ten thousand times, and then another ten thousand times, and then another....
    And what happens to curiosity about the world? Scientists and people in general strive to examine and understand the world, always with a feeling that more knowledge will improve life, will advance humankind in some way. But if the world is already perfect and run by God, what is there to explore? Why would anyone bother to explore when there is no advancement to be achieved anymore?
    The Watchtower paradise videos always focus on how people eat their fruit picnics and then some resurrected dead ones come back and people are happy to reunite. They never show the ennui of a bunch of people who are having the one billionth fruit picnic with the same group of people where nothing new ever happens anymore.
    I think that in truth, the hope for 'eternal' life is a very short-sighted one. It's about wanting to be reunited with loved ones who have died, about hoping that this painful experience of death will go away. And that's really all. But 'eternal life' would not be a human existence at all.

    This was a very deep subject research in the 80's ....many JW'S walked away from the cult because of this belief. Mainly because the NWT Bible altered the meaning of Luke 20: 34-38 and Matthew 22:29-32....by changing "sons " to "children" from the original Greek and Latin.... King James Bible does the same....making everyone to believe this is a earthly resurrection rather then a Heavenly one ....making the resurrected ones some kind of sexless human beings. And the Watchtower will never back off from this belief....making marriage one day obsolete in paradise. ...My feeling was always it fit very well into their money making schemes. ...how?....by making JW'S members ....especially pioneers and missionaries avoid having children and only focus on " the Kingdom preaching for "New disciples " ....and new disciples mean new members and more contributions and free labor at their Bethel farms all around the world. So the answer Money Money Money. ...at the tune of ....billions

So we NEED to know what fallacies Christ approved at this time!!! And also: our parents or grand parents believed this nonsense...and this had very important consequences in OUR lives

    This is amazing info because I surely believed that people could get married and have children throughout the new world. There are many witnesses who don't get married or couples who choose not to have children in this "wicked old system" now because they want to have them in the new world...guess they won't be doing all of that without God's approval😂.
    What's even worse is that if you presented this material to them in conversation, they would get uncomfortable and probably even acuse you of apostasy for telling them something that they must believe!😂😂😂

  • @governingbodylanguage2025

    Tab A to Slot B 😂. Your smile was great. Later: no pleasure involved, get that out of your dirty heads, ha! BTW, I knew an old horndog sister that occasionally talked about how Adam and Eve had sex in the garden. Her face was hilarious when she said things like "what do you think they did?". Now that's an LOL. But I should be serious here, I mean sex is serious! 😉
    That Questions from Readers sounds like Freddy wrote it, and he was nuts.
    The scourge of women: a couple weeks ago this subject was touched on in the WT study. It said the Man cares for the home materially, and an elder in my hall said "Is it OK for a wife to be the bread winner? IDK, I won't say, but it is something to think about!" Then of course, the review questions answer was that the man materially provides. It explains my trapped position (of which I am working on getting out).

    I'm not sure but I feel like you've totally got hold of the wrong end of the stick. I left the JWs over 17 years ago so I'm not 'up to speed' but I thought that tho they don't know what will happen but going back to the 50s, doesn't seem much point as their beliefs have 'refined' since then; but it certainly wasn't part of the teaching in all my years when I was with them .... when Jesus was asked about a woman who had many husbands, as each one died she married another, and they asked Jesus to whom would she be married to in the resurrection? The answer included that they would be 'like angels' and therefore not have a sex assignment ? Honestly I don't believe we know what Almighty God has in store for us but let's hope we are counted worthy of finding out

    LOL. Great stuff as always. So here's the problem with this 'creation process' ie Christ was made first, angels made next, then God's marriage to angelic organisation, then making of the universe, making of earth and life etc. But 'time' itself only came in to existence when the universe did, it is part of the fabric of the universe alone. Asking what happened 'before' the big bang is a none question because there was no 'before' as there was no 'time'. And likewise an 'order' of creation as described by the bible is impossible without time ie there can't be a 'first' or 'second' a 'before' or after' such a concept without time is meaningless. So basically the bible is saying that God is embedded in the space-time of our universe, a bizarre concept.
    I thought God ordered Adam and Eve to 'be fruitful and fill the earth' ... "I don't really wanna do it grrrl, but I'm just obeying God's command" ; so perfect people (ie babies would have been produced very quickly) ordered by god to have babies but refused to have sex until thrown out of Eden ? Really ? I smell a Watchtower cover up.
    So let me get this right .... you are saying if I'm a JW then I can have 10 hot 30 year old women, desperate for babies, for 1000 years. Ehhh Why didn't you tell me this before I left ???

    • @alexcampbell3032

      It's from a man's imagination, a Jesuit in fact.

    • @johnjones6112
      @johnjones6112 Před 3 lety

      @@alexcampbell3032 Well the big bang is accepted by scientists across the world and has been for many years, folks like Hawkins etc, and is the current best guess, I suppose the many elite scientists and the thousands of scientific bodies and organisations across the globe could be in some sort of illuminati conspiracy I suppose, but it seems unlikely. The reason we know the universe had a beginning is of course entropy as you well know, it tells us the direction of time and shows that the universe will one day end, also the universe is expanding rapidly, and we can look back in time by using powerful telescopes, however regardless of HOW the universe began the fact is time itself began when the universe did. For God to have time markers embeds him in the space-time fabric of our own universe, which would be bizarre.
      I'm not wedded to the idea of big bang in particular, and perhaps a better explanation will be forthcoming, but the idea that the entire scientific community is taken in by the ramblings of some Jesuit is a conspiracy theory of epic proportions.
