CVB: One-Time Project Fund

This video showcases the six projects awarded grants by the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) for the inaugural One-Time Project Fund (OTPF). From a pool of $1 million, the CVB awarded $821,000 in grants for qualifying municiplaties and non-profit organizations.
According to grant application requirements, projects had to be for new construction, expansion, renovation, or a replacement projects for an existing facility or facilities. The project required minimum budget of $50,000. Qualifying grants were awarded on a competitive basis, with primary consideration given to applications that focused on the following:
• Enhance the destination experience for both visitors and residents
• Attract overnight visitors from more than fifty (50) miles outside of Moore County
• Shovel-ready projects will be preferred
• Project funding is up to a 50/50 match for qualifying applicants
• No studies or maintenance projects
