This is a better case for the 1650 I believe because from what Iâve seen, itâs more likely that a 1650 will still be equipped with gddr5 memory. So I expect the difference in general will be larger? A 1650ti is maybe more like a guarantee for the highest possible spec of a 1650.

@@SF-li9khOmen 1660 starts at 85000 INR for 60hz with ryzen 5 . There is another model at 105000INR with 144hz and 1660. The model you are talking about in the above comment is 2060 with ryzen 7.

Omen has heat problem! I highly recommend u stick to Lenovo, I watched Video in CZcams that compare omen and Legion same spec's but omen drop the voltage in performance mode
I got my MSI laptop with a 1650 for around $700 in April of 2019. Decent performance, but thermals are not that good
This was expected. IÂŽd rather have a gaming comparison between Ryzen U and H series, since it would allow us to buy less power hungry laptops, when not gaming. For example the 4800U and the 4800H have almost identical specs, yet a vastly different TDP, so it would be great to see if does make a noticeable difference, using the exact same GPU.

we got a nitro 5 with almost the same specs. screen is 120hz. great laptop for the games whe play. i wanted a second one and started looking at 1660ti and 2060. somehow 1660ti is more expensive. ended with the legion 5, 2060, i7 10750, 16g. also a great machine. love to watch these videos and see how they perform.
im also looking at 1660 ti and 2060 laptops especially the legion 5 and the legion 5 r5 4600h rtx 2060 is cheaper then the r7 4800h gtx 1660 ti but it has a 144hz screen so idk wht i should go for the 1660 ti one is around 90 dollars more and even 4 cores is good for me so the processor doesnt patter

Trying to clarify the confusion regarding GTX 1650. The older version with GDDR5 memory comes with 1024 cuda cores. The GTX 1650 Ti is just the GDDR6 Version of the older GDDR5 model. New GTX 1650 GDDR6 version, on the other hand is a cut down version of with 896 Cuda cores but GDDR6 memory. Because of this, the performance difference is very minimal at best.

My laptop has a GDDR6 model GTX 1650 and it's been serving me well in the games I choose to play on it. The overall specs are actually near-identical to the Nitro 5 used in this video (my laptop is an ASUS TUF A15, biggest difference is a 512GB M.2 SSD instead of the 256GB in the Nitro 5).
How many frames are you getting?
i found 2 zephyrus g14 with the same price, the only difference is 4800h with 1650 vs 4600hs with 1650ti. i guess the 4800h is the better investment, thanks for the review

The surprise news I heard is that 1650 is much more powerful in case of deep learning and image processing than 1650Ti, it seems the lower clock frequency and higher bandwidth ( single bandwidth since deep learning is not parallel computation) let 1650 be better performance in AI applications than 1650Ti

The 10 series cards had a much larger difference I believe. The max spec 1650 will be basically identical.

@@TabalugaDragon I don't know man. The 1050ti had a difference of 128cores, like the difference here. And the 1050 also came with 4gb a lot of times. The 2gb versions were a lot cheaper. And the 1050ti often priced itself closer to a 1060

the 1050 ti core count in % is entirely different, while for 1650 ti it's just 11% more; and that 1050 ti also had higher clockspeeds due to 50% higher TDP( 75 watts vs 50 watts), while 1650 ti power envelope is exactly the same as 1650, making it pretty much useless whuch explains why it's barely any better than the lower end option.
1050 ti was like 20-25% faster than 1050 and a decent card to fill the gap between 1050 and 1060.
Overall the 1000 series was perfection for laptops, in 2000 series Nvidia went off the rails and 3000 will be even worse, for example it looks like laptop 3060 ti won't exist, and 3080 will have only 8GB of memory instead of 10 on the desktop version(or previous 1080 and 2080).
@@TabalugaDragon Percentages can be misleading. The 1050 and 1050ti had a average of 5fps difference. So, a 30fps vs 35fps can yield a 15% difference. And a 55fps vs 60fps can yield a 9% difference.
Now, the 1060 3gb and 6gb had exactly the same difference in cuda cores. And they were barely 8% apart from each other. This is the same case with the 1050 vs 1050ti. The percentage in this case doesn't matter. Its just the raw cuda core difference that matters.
Also, if the 1050ti did have a 75w limit, then it'd need 1060 levels of cooling. And 1050 and 1050ti laptops had the same cooling systems. Heck the 1059 and 1050ti even share the same power brick. So, the 1050 and 1050ti have the same tdp.
The 1060 was massively faster than a 1050ti as well. However it wasn't much more than a 1050ti.
You can see the 1650ti is similarly useless here. It barely has more cores and shares the same power limits.
I agree, the 10 series were legendary on laptops. The 20 series were meh. And 30 series are horrendous.

If you can buy ryzen 7, just wait for 1660 or 2060 with ryzen 5 or i5. Waiting a few minutes for video editing is less pain than play game under 60fps

Max-Q is the exact same GPU die, just with lower power limits, and the power limit can vary by model so I can't just do 'max-q' as one machine.

Edit: The BFV numbers are also a tie just one setting lower, it only showed that big difference at "ultra settings". The average difference is nothing, if one considers playing at medium/High to get enjoyable framerates.

I have saying this since last 5 months. Save money and get 1650 or spend the extra cash on a 1660Ti. 1650Ti is not worth it, unless the laptop come with a better processor or display.
Honestly, there should be the 1650, then a 1650 Super and then a 1660 Super in my opinion. There should be an NVIDIA equivalent of the 5500M.

The rx5500m lacks any overclocking unless you raise power limit to 85w, at which point it performs like a gtx 1660ti max q. So your only rx5500m option would be the msi alpha 15 2021 edition with more vents. Sadly you still cannot undervolt the 5600h it comes with.
Strangely the 1650ti seems to largely ship with the i5 10300h. So its not a good value. Though sometimes it does drop in price very nicely, like it dropped to 50k once. And 36k just a few days ago.

I never got the right laptops to do those fairly, they will probably never happen, sorry. For instance I have one 10300H laptop, but my 9300H laptop outperforms it, so not really useful for testing lol.

Better question is whether its worth buying 1650 or 1650ti laptop now when rtx3000 series isnt that far off...
even though both computers have AMD CPU chipsets and it will make the comparison BETWEEN the Ti and the regular 1650 proportionately accurate, it would have been better to have twin matching intel chipsets PLUS the different GPU chipsets so that then we could actually see peak performance differentiations between the two. i want to be able to compare the MAX baseline of the 1650 to the MAX baseline of the Ti, not compare two baselines that are far below their capacities.

Gddr5 version is only 128gbps memory bandwith vs 192gbps on 1650 gddr6 50% more bandwith and even with less cores 896 vs 1024 is 3% faster overall for 1650 gddr6

I rencently bought a 1050, with 8750h with the price of comon laptop with Ryzen 4700u. Game perform like Xbox one S. I skipped the 20 and 16 series since the price is so higj nut the gain is not as spectacular as 1 series did. Remember when GTX 1060 were released? It obliterated not onlu gtx 970m but also mighty GTX 980m and in the neighborhood og full fat gtx 980. I expect to upgrade to next gen gpu series that feature USB 4 and atleast 5 nm technology .

I would say than between a rtx 2070 super (non max-q) and a rtx 3060 won't be a massive difference...maybe 10% better performance on the 3060 mobile. But if you find a good discount on the rtx 2070 go for it. But let's wait :-)

Hey I'm looking at two laptops right now. One of them with a 1T ssd and a 2060 (acer), the other a 512 ssd and a 1650 (asus). Cpu and ram are the same. The price difference is 433USD. 1419USD vs 986USD. Which one is the best value for my money? Or, in other words, 2060 or 1650?

@@lcyyss8934 I got a Legion 5 with a 1660Ti. My advice is: nothing below a 1660Ti (so no 1650 or 3650). But I don't know what you need the laptop for, so if ray tracing is important to you, maybe save up for a 3060. If your only two options are similar to what mine were 9 months ago, then get the 2060.
