- I'm retiring from hockey...
Please don’t panic! I am not leaving the sport of hockey, but I have made the very difficult decision to end my competitive hockey journey.
Like every young hockey player, and for as long as I can remember, my dream was to play in the NHL. I trained hard to make this dream a reality by learning all that I could on and off the ice, working with incredible coaches and amazing players, and traveling to hundreds of hockey rinks all over the country.
When I started Trew Crew as a vlog, I never could have imagined how big my CREW would become and I can’t thank you enough for following me along on this incredible journey.
As my business grew, my content and passion for editing did too. As more opportunities presented themself to me, I began to set different goals for myself that were more realistic, attainable, and exciting.
So starting NOW, I will be going full-time with hockey content creation, and taking the next steps to go after a new dream….

You should do a video like nasher if eventually you get the money and time you should build an arena and name it whatever you want and run like leagues and do mic’d up videos of players on the ice and the stick I would want is a Bauer hyperlite goalie stick that would fit someone who is 5”9 but on skates like 5”11 but If it’s too expensive I understand sticks are crazy expensive

i just subbed. Crazy video idea: declare for the 2024 nhl draft and dm a bunch of teams to get them to draft you, then show up to the draft in a suit to see if they will draft you. (also i just broke my stick so a new one would really be appreciated).

I loved watching your journey throughout the years, you are the reason why I started playing hockey and so that is why getting a signed stick from you would mean the absolute world to me I am turning 15 on April 12th. The craziest CZcams video that I would want you to make is going to a Birmingham Bulls Hockey Game sometime or testing out the worlds longest stick or trying to break the worlds strongest flex hockey stick. Crazy video idea= pick one random hockey town on the east coast and film a whole season of high school hockey. Go on all the road trips workouts film sessions team meals etc. like your apart of the team (like what Bernie did).

Good luck on your new journey man! Loved watching your hockey career journey up until this point. Honestly, I really enjoyed watching your brother's game... maybe highlight some of that journey for him some more. Maybe not full time... but a weekly or bi-monthly update during the season (important events). Other than that... I think colabs with other hockey creators would be cool. Spotlighting other teams, facilities, and sharing with young hockey players what can be expected past highschool hockey. You'll do something amazing. You are creative and passionate. I have faith either way! go get'um!

Been following your content for awhile ever since I saw you play for the Hat Tricks. Love everything you've done to this point and can't wait for what's next in your journey! Crazy video idea... Trew Crew, I had the chance to meet you and play with you over the summer and as sad as it is to see you stop playing, I’m glad I had the chance to play against you. A good video idea would be an all access tour/ reviews of any cool rinks you go to.
I've goofed on a bunch of your videos, but honestly, this video kinda hit hard. I know how tough it is, and to be able to "hang em up" is something that is hard to accept. You'll thank yourself in 20 years when you look back at all the fond memories you made playing junior. Too many guys aren't willing to give it up, and chase the impossible dream. Unfortunately for a lot of players, that means going to play D3, and paying thousands just for that tiny chance to get an ECHL tryout.. It's not worth it.. and I gained a lot of respect for you watching this and seeing you look back on your journey. Cheers to you man, and wish you luck in the future.

Showcase locker rooms, equipment rooms, interviewing players, and showing us the daily life of these NHL players and D1 draft picks. And would also like to see a world juniors video when that time of year comes again.

Brody you are an inspiration to me and a lot of smaller hockey players. I’ve enjoyed watching your videos for years. My advice to you is to not let some concussion and drama with the hat tricks to end your career. You admitted that your number one passion is still hockey. You will regret quitting hockey early when you still had more in the tank. Don’t waste the skill you still have left. Join the hat tricks fphl and
make content, even if it’s limited due to
team restrictions. Height doesn’t matter in hockey, it’s how skilled and how much heart you have, and that’s not a problem for you. It’s a blessing to be able to play pro hockey, don’t pass it up. I’m telling you all this because your making a mistake, and you have to fix it before it’s to late.

Wow, not going to lie, we had hopes you were being picked up by a college team but I told you over a year ago, its not just your hockey that brings in the fans, its your personality , and your infectious humor that draws people to you. That's what caught my boys and their team mates to watch every video again and again, your constant ideas that grab peoples attention, and it will keep doing it in my humble opinion. I hope it honestly works out exactly how you want it to because frankly you have earned it. Gods speed on your next chapter Trew, make a splash like you have been doing for well over three and a half years. Crazy video idea: Get a 1 day contract from a NHL team. Do a day in the life of an NHLer. Go around on a game day with a big name player and do everythin but play in the game (morning skate, meals, team meetings, film, gameday routine, locker room vibes, etc.)

Hey man, I understand your perspective. I was indeed perplexed seeing the stats of your team from last year compared to this year. You were still very effective in your season, and people cant take that away. On a team struggling to put up points, you still had top points on your team. Your whole team struggled to get the puck in the back of the net. Sometimes you have seasons like this where everything is just thrown together it seemed. The coach of your team didn't even have much time to prep the team from the get go. Just a hard uphill battle from the start. Love your content, will be sad to see you not in FPHL.

even a planned game with them, and maybe bring back some old friends. Also I think you should make the ultimate hockey room/ basement or even an out door set up like you possibly met when you said something in the backyard. I think you should make a camp in the summer that you could run and teach kids like me, your skills and story’s or how you got to play at the level you play at because I live in CT and I would totally come. You could even make your own custom stick with designs that fit your story. Also just like you to know I loved watching you on the past two to three years and every time my notification would jump on it and watch immediately because you are by far my favorite CZcamsr and my inspiration when I went out on the ice, I wanted to play like you. Also maybe coach a youth hockey team to a state victory, maybe see if elite would let you coach. I can’t wait to see what you do next also I wonder what you’re gonna do for your hundred thousand subscriber celebration.🎉 please can I have a agent would be da bomb but u would also just take any stick what’s so other
Hey Brody, I have really enjoyed watching your video’s over the years, Junior hockey, like most things, is not as easy as it looks. Here is a couple of non-traditional content Ideas, I would consider joining a short track speed skating club, there is a great one just north of you. With your size and strength to weight ratio, you be really good at it in a very short amount time. The other content consideration would be to become a Mite hockey coach - you obviously love the game and you enjoy playing, and you have personality and charisma to become a great coach - and mite players themselves will create an endless amount of content. Been here about 3 years, loved every second of it, and can’t wait to see what happens next. Man you got me to join a local mens league just cause it’s so much fun to play, and I had forgotten that. Crazy vid idea, maybe like comparing the aspects of how the American game is played to how they play is overseas. The differences in quality, arena sizes and shape, the difference in fans, day to day life etc. If there is that many differences of course 😂

Congratulations on having clarity in your decision and the courage to step forward with it.
I’d like to see some of your old NHL montages.
Also, I enjoy exploring how the sport has changed over the years- particularly what the newer sticks allow with respect to what the players in the past used.
A neat video could be seeing modern players using straight blade wooden sticks, or even straight blade carbon sticks (I’m not aware of that even being a thing). Even if there was a tournament that required straight blades.
It would show how skilled the past players were and I think it would make for a real challenge for younger players.

Hell yeah man. Onwards and upwards. It’s really weird since Im sort of in the same boat. I’ve played high level for most of my life, and have always had a strong passion for videography. I’ve made countless CZcams videos etc over the years as I continued to play. I ended up playing Jr. A in Canada before having to undergo double hip surgery (goalie lol). After I went home early from the season for surgery, I decided to start a business doing videography. I underwent two successful surgeries and ended up heading out to British Columbia to return to play. When I got out there I was back in the grind of things and realized that my heart just wasn’t there anymore. It’s almost as if the injury opened my eyes to other possibilities and as if it was in place to open a door to a new chapter in my life. It’s so incredibly tough trying to decide whether to continue to play, or take a direction towards something else. Anyways, I totally understand exactly where you’re coming from. Do what makes you happy because at the end of the day that’s what matters!

Crazy video idea: How about staging a mock "Hockey Olympics" event in your backyard or a local park? You could gather a group of friends or fellow hockey enthusiasts to compete in various quirky and entertaining challenges inspired by Olympic sports, such as a slap shot accuracy contest, a speed skating relay using rollerblades, or a puck handling obstacle course
Just do what makes you happy bro. If you ever want to hop in a game our team in the MHL is always open. Parker from the hat tricks paired with us in Texas for a weekend.
