Welcome to the Trabant Museum in Prague, where you can explore the complete history of Trabant car production. The exhibits span from the first predecessor of the Trabant, the AWZ P70 (1954), to the iconic Trabant P 60 (600) and Trabant 601 models, and culminate with the sophisticated Trabant 1.1 model featuring a VW Polo four-stroke engine (1989 - 1991), marking the end of Trabant production in 1991. All vehicles on display are presented in their original, well-preserved condition.
In addition to our extensive collection of Trabant vehicles, visitors can explore a fully equipped period service garage, complete with a genuine racing Trabant and a partially finished mechanic's project. Experience what it was like to sit behind the wheel of a Trabant with our interactive front left section of a car. Additionally, don't miss the military Trabant Kübel "Jeep" guarding the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, accompanied by a soldier standing nearby.
The final part of the exposition showcases everyday objects produced in the former GDR, offering a nostalgic journey through toys, electronics, toiletries, and beverages popular at the time. Parents can enjoy a moment of peace while their children explore our mini-race track with model Trabants and marvel at our working model train sets transporting newly produced Trabants. Come and relive the memories of a bygone era at the Trabant Museum in Prague.
