- On a whim, we head over to East Texas to explore Cooper State Park. What we didn’t expect was a history lesson at the town square in the Cooper, TX.
Howdy y’all! Michael here. My family and I live in the North Texas area here in Denton County, and life has become quite complicated for everyone. However, that does not mean we should stop living it. Come hang out with us as we are Getting Out In Life.

What a cool little town! Thanks for exploring!
I lived in Cooper twice in the early 80's. This was before Cooper dam was even started. We used to play in the bottoms (what we called them) where the lake is now. Rode my gocart many a mile down the roads that are now covered with water. Miller's Pharmacy was always a treat for drinks and candy. Cooper is full of memories for me. Somehow, they've never figured out a way to fix the streets. Kind of sad.
Aww you met Jeremy, who owns the buildings- he is a sweetheart
When I moved here in 2013 the soda shop was our deciding factor lol The ice cream soda was AMAZING! The pharmacy was still up until about 2015 when CVS bought them out. Rodeo is over at the City park.
This is where i grew up well till almost middle school alot of my extended family is stilll here
❤
The Paris medical center is no longer, a local business just bought the building.
