Overtime, the gelatin will shrink and dry out when exposed to the air! Thanks for the question!

You should be able to! Just be careful and keep them away from direct heat.

You could use these, but because extracts are water soluble, the recipe may have a different consistency! The only way to find out is through testing :) Thanks for your question!

You could try using Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT).

@@ChurchTestimonies preservatives are usually used at 0.3% to 1% of your formulation. Try making a small amount of the product and test it, before you scale it up. For the salt, you can use regular table salt.

In total, we used about 1 ounce of gelatin (each packet is 0.25oz.) This equates to about 28.35 grams of gelatin powder!
